| anduaramurt02-23-06, 05:33 PM | This question has been bugging me for a while now, and I wondered if anyone had a real answer... The Apostle of Peace class (exalted deeds) says that the character's vows allow her to wear and use magic items that provide protection, such as bracers of armor. However, the description of the Vow of Poverty feat (a prerequisite for the class) says that the character cannot carry or own any magic items at all. So: can the Apostle of Peace wear a ring of protection or bracers of armor without violating the vow? If anyone can help, I would appreciate it; this class is too cool not to use for an NPC. |

To be honest, I kind of like the idea that taking the class requires you to take Vow of Poverty but then break it, seeing peace as a higher calling. Flavor-wise that's really cool. Of course, you could bypass the issue by simply not using magic items even though the class might otherwise allow it. That would stay completely within the rules. |
