We (Our Dm and myself) are trying to put together a senario for the climactic finally to a chapter in our campaign.

It involves the PCs being divided into two parts. One is out looking for an artifact that will help put an end to undead/ illithid invasion. The other half and their followers are about to face an overwhelming hoard of undead soldiers.

What we are after are some eisier rules to make the battlefield encounter run a little more smoothly without haveing to role any more dice than necessary.

The characters involved are about 6 14th to 19th level gestalt characters, (+4 cohorts and 300 followers) plus the rest of the army.

We want to cut out all the tedious calculations and set up a list of battle hazards for the PCs

Any ideas? This has to be put together by New Year's Eve and were stumped.

One of our fellow forumgoers, Farland, has created a mass combat clacluator that might help you. It's been around for a while and dozens, if not hundreds of DMs have used it. I've never heard a bad thing said about it. http://www.farlandcampaign.homestead.com/
