Well, it's Moorish Islamic not Arab Islamic architecture but the palace of the Alhambra in Granada, Spain would be a good candidate. Lots of books on it with history, descriptions, maps and photos. Even a virtual tour here: http://www.mcah.columbia.edu/alhambra/flash/palace_qtvr.html EDIT: this got me thinking so I flipped through my old history of architecture textbook and found some others for you: Khirbat-al-Mafjar, an Umayyad palace. Floorplans, history, and sources here: http://archnet.org/library/sites/one-site.tcl?site_id=7363 More pictures, floorplans, and info are easily Googled. If you want something more castle-like, there's the Citadel of Aleppo, the Cairo Citadel, and the Al-Masmak Palace in Riyadh. Between the web and/or library you should be able to get good inspiration with those. Good luck! .z |

It's pyramids, desert ruins, stuff like that. I've done a full conversion, including text of the first module of that series and you can PM me or E-mail me at metsisme@yahoo.com if you'd like a copy of the conversion. Al-Kadim stuff is all good. Specificaly, the City of Bones boxed set would have a lot of good stuff for you. All of the above is probably easily found for purchase online or through E-bay for a few bucks each. For higher end stuff, check out Necropolis by Troll Lord Games (can I say that here?). It's a massive storyline adventure for characters 10-18ish. |
