Rules question: Do armor check penalties apply to spell-like abilities. I said no since spell-like abilitie shave no components and armor cannot get in the way of casting. Is this stated in a book/FAQ somewhere?

You're correct. Spell failure only happens on spells with somatic components.

Spell like abilities are not spells and do not have a failure chance unless specifically stated in their description.

I was looking for it in writing somewhere. I think pg 56 of the PHB about wizards and armor clears it up:
"Armor...interferes with a wizard's movements, which can cause her spells with somatic components to fail."

Thats as clear as I can find on the topic. This also means wizards
casting dimension door (only verbal component) wouldnt have to worry
about the spell failure either. Cool!

Thanks!
