Wasn't sure the best place to put this, but since I didn't see an a Weapon of Legacy board...

My character recently came into possession of some half-place+1 and since I recently came into possession of the Weapons of Legacy book, I was thinking she might try to found a legacy with it.

So I've been thinking of what to write up to present to my DM and decided one of the abilities I would like it to have is basically a second skin feature -- i.e. it magically "hides" beneath my character's skin when she wants (leaving her unarmored), but she has the ability to summon it outside (probably as a partial action, since doing it as a free action seems too powerful). Basically, it would be like quick draw (or gloves of storing) for armor. I was thinking this could probably be a least feature (possibly even menu A, considering some of the effects that are allowed), but I wanted to get some other opinions from people who may be more rules knowledgeable than I.

Thanks in advance.

Summonable armor was a +1 equivalent bonus ability from the 'Defenders of the Faith' (the 3.0 cleric splatbook)
Without any better reference, we'll go with that.

Upgrading the +1 armor to +1 summonable armor is the menu A option 'Armor or shield enhancement'.

But, what great event of getting your armor on in a hurry so you could save the day did you pull off to justify this ability?
Or, alternatively, what legendary feat of endurance did you pull off wearing this armor for longer then humanly possible?

I'm only second level, so I haven't done *any* great feats yet. : )

I've run the idea of using legacy past the DM and he's cool with it, but we haven't talked details. The book suggests planning the item's progression in advance, so I may do a couple builds to see what I like/get a handle on the rules. I do think it makes more sense to wait to see what the character does/goes through each level to see what abilities develop, but I need to check with the DM to see which he'd prefer.

We're playing in Eberron and the armor was a gift from a changeling (half-doppelganger, basically) in thanks for saving her life, so I'm thinking of a build that plays on that somewhat. I think the summonable ability makes sense in terms of that, though perhaps just making it glamored would be a bit more sensible (I've also got to read up on their abilities, see how that can be incorporated).

Well, then, you've got three levels to come up with something suitably impressive :)

Well, 9 technically, because you don't want to be working on a least legacy when you qualify for a lesser, do you?

Least, lesser ... you say to-may-to, I say to-mah-to...
