One of my players (dwarf) wants to make for himself such armor: masterwork articulated reinforced bladed dwarven plate - what time will it take for him to make it? and what checks will he need to make? and how many of them?
May he take any help from human smiths?

Books with this armor qualities:
Quintessential dwarf
Hammer and Helm

P.S. sorry for mistakes.

look at the craft skill in phb.

The masterwork component is dc 20, 300 or 150gc cost.. i dont remember.

Maybe it says something about the dc for the dwarven stuff in the book where you found it? or else you can propably just do dc 20 or something there as well.

I want him to make a DC 20 on armorsmithing for each of such armor qualities, at all he must to make 4 checks and if he will fail one of them by 5 the armor will be ruined. I do not want to allow human smiths to help him, because they do not know about such armor (only dwarves).
Or I am too strict? any suggestions?
(pls do not write simple post such as look in phb for description and so on.., sorry anders, but your post do not give any help)

You are not being too strict as long as you remember that he can Take 10 when using the craft skill.

So as long as the PC can achieve a +10 to his craft check (which includes masterwork tools and other circumstance modifiers) he will not fail. All that is then required in many weeks of effort.

If its Full Plate then its going to take a very long time (with a +30 check its still 28 weeks just for the full plate component of the armour).

I dont think you are too strict

The craft dc for the armor is typically dc 10 + ac bonus.

I dont know about the 3 other qualities, however, but dc 20 seems fine. You also need to decide a price he has to fullfill to make it.

In one week you will make progress on the armor in form of silver pieces.
If I got 30 on my craft check on the masterwork component, for example, I would make 30*20 = 600 sp (60gp). I would have to make 150gp to be completed with the masterwork component (and then I would have to do the normal component, and the 3 other qualities)

A character can raise the craft DC if he desires to make more progress (he could for example raise the craft to dc 30. In my example he would have made a progress of 30sp*30sp=90gp)

Thak you. Thats what I decided:

armor blade 100gp 1d6 x3 10lb slashing - 1000
DC20, cost 33gp
if check = 30
2 weeks

articulation 500gp one category lighter armor - can runx4 - 5000
DC20, cost 167gp
if check = 30
8 weeks

reinforced 300gp vs criticals AC+5 - 3000
DC20, cost 100gp
if check = 30
5 weeks

dwarven plate 2800gp AC+10 DEx+2 CheckP-6 55lb. - 28000
(masterwork) DC20, cost 934
if check = 30
47 weeks

at all 3700gp - 37000
cost 1234
if check = 30
62 weeks

DC 20 on armorsmithing for each of such armor qualities, at all you must to make 4 checks and if you will fail one of them by 5 and more - you ruin half of armor's materials and half of work on this armor quality (if failed not more than by 4 no progress this week).
You may use mastervork tools and others smiths to assist you (only dwarven smiths can help).
To speed up work you can voluntary raise DC by 10 to each of armor component.

And one more question. What if ge wants to make this armor from adamantite for example, it will cost 15000gp more will it take 2.5 times longer to make or special material do not have influence on craft skill?
