Okay, now that that's over with, I'd like some opinions from the wise inhabitants of the boards about an NPC I'm designing. He is an incubus (male succubus) with the half-celestial template (it's complicated) and several class levels. My question is what should be considered an "unassociated class" for a succubus. This individual has trained as an expert swordsman, and has several levels of fighter and at least one level of blackguard. The half-celestial template, some ability adjustments from HD, and the fact that I rolled his stats like a PC (he's an important antagonist), means that his physical stats are all much higher than an ordinary succubus. I was wondering whether combat-oriented classes should be considered non-associated (therefore increasing CR by 1 per two levels) for him, or whether the differences from the standard succubus would make it appropriate for advancement. I can post more specific stats if that would be helpful, but I won't now in the interest of brevity. I am curious what you think are associated/non-associated classes for succubi, and what would be appropriate for my advanced version. Thanks for any opinions you can provide!
Comus 07-07-06, 12:19 AM	Given how a succubus works, I'd say that rogue, bard, sorc, warlock... they'd be the ones that'd be associated. They aren't straight-up fighters, so a melee class wouldn't be one.
