Aura of Chaos [Archive] - Wizards Community

09-28-07, 09:17 AM Does anyone know what aura of chaos does for madam eva in ravenloft? My part has already killed madam eva, but I'm wondering if the aura would have swayed the battle in her favor as is our dm.

09-29-07, 09:20 AM Auras are what is detected by divination spells that have the word Detect... in their name. Alignment auras are a class feature of divine casters, but outsiders and some other beings have an alignment aura, too, as do artifacts and magic items. Most of the time, they're not doing any good for the character/creature/object in question... their only impact is how easily their alignment can be detected. Look up the effect of alignment auras here (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/detectEvil.htm). Just replace "evil" with "chaos" and you get what any character Detecting Chaos will see when looking at the lady in question.
