| ck2001wendt01-30-04, 08:32 PM | I've looked through the Miniatures Handbook, and I was disappointed not to see an "automatic" resolution system for mass combat. The campaign I'm running is about to go through an Against the Giants style story-arc set in Western Cormyr (over the Stormhorns). The players will be the "special ops" force assigned to a much larger contingent of Purple Dragons and War Wizards. I don't want to have the party have to run a couple dozen miniatures battles, as we're not that kind of group (especially battles where the PCs aren't personally involved), and I was looking for a "shortcut" to calculate the force multipliers for the Giants and the Cormyrian forces, then just record the result and have the characters learn about the battles when they report back in. Do you know of any 3.0 or 3.5 books out there that can give me a hand with this? Or should I troll 2nd ed Battlesystem looking for a quick fix (and then update and post for y'all?) |

Nowadays I don't have time to read fiction, but I can always "cheat" by reading a couple of chapters of someone else's adventures. That's just "procrastinating on the Internet." Totally different. |
