Arcade 06-08-05, 08:41 AM	Hey all, This Saturday, my group and I will be wrapping up our 4 year campaign going through Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil. One of my players suggested having an awards ceremony afterwards to recognize the best moments and achievements during the campaign. I thought, "Hey, not too bad of an idea." So here I am asking you all- what types of categories and awards would you give out at a campaign ending ceremony?
Ichor Spellka 06-08-05, 08:55 AM	Most Incredible "Pulled it out of his @** at the last second idea" That Worked. Most Humourous Death. Most Valourous Death. Most Creative Encounter. Most impressive saving the party through solo actions.
Illion the Red 06-08-05, 09:03 AM	Best roleplaying moment. The one-liner of the campaign. Most well-developed character. Most humorous moment. Stump-the-DM award. Most surprising kill. Best stereotype breaking moment.
High Octane 06-08-05, 09:09 AM	Best sacrifice- Most honorable sacrifice a character made. Most honest- A player not using out of character information even though it may, or did, cost his character dearly. Most Idiotic- Charging a dragon without informing his group? Drinking the blood of an evil deity from an evil altar when you are a paladin? Swimming in chainmail? You get the idea. Best overall character- Played well, stayed in character, was unique but not outlandish, provided great roleplaying experience. Best Kirk out- The best scream of "NOOOOO!!!" or "KHAAAAAAAAAAN!" or similar type moment in the game. Luckiest- Rolled 3 20s in a row and killed that evil dragon single handedly. Unluckiest- How could you miss a prone dazzled wizard with a minus on dex and his mage armor dispelled 4 times in a row with your +3 longsword? Best pop culture reference- "You seem a decent fellow, I hate to kill you." "You seem a decent fellow. I hate to die." Most annoying personal quirk- STOP TWIRLING THAT FREAKING PENCIL! Hardest working- If this isnt the DM, there is a problem. Funniest moment- May be mentioned above..... Most whipped- On the phone for 20 minutes in the BBEG battle telling your girlfriend you love her over and over and over and saying cute pet names back and forth before someone throws your cell phone out the window. Never there- May also be in line for the above award. "Sorry cant come to D&D at our SCHEDULED time because 30 mins ago my girlfriend informed me its out 3 week anniversary." The Red Mage award- The master of twinking, max-minning, munchkinism, and managing to slip out of character info into the character. "What fourth wall?" Guinness man "BRILLIANT!" award- Did this guy come up with the answer to the riddle using only his knowledge? was his planning the key to winning all those battles? MacGuyver award- Found uses for an immovable rod you could NEVER imagine. Best supporting actor- .......wrong show. Best cinemetography- What was the BEST castle or cave or floating city? What setting did the DM create that just blew you away? Best NPC- CRAZY Jim the shopkeeper? Razzle, king of the fairy dragons? Soloman the Dreamcutter? Best player, overall- Self explanatory. Who would you be sure to invite to your next session?
