i have a problem with BAB.when do you get send attack?
do you count other bonuses like feats or ability ?
what counts in +6/+1?

BAB stands for base attack bonus. It's the bonus granted by class levels only, and does not include your ability bonus (str, dex, etc), feats, gear, or anything else.

You apply your base attack bonus any time you make an attack. To it you add your appropriate modifier, usually strength, or dexterity. And other bonus from feats, or abilities. Such as weapon focus, or flanking.

A base attack bonus of +6/+1 means that as part of a full attack action you make two attacks. The first one at base attack bonus +6, the second at Base attack bonus +1.

For instance a fighter
He gain the second attack at 6th level, when his BAB il +6
There's NO WAY for a fighter to get it before that. BAB is "Base attack bonus" and is given plain from the class, ignoring every possible form of bonus that you can obtain in every possible manner

At 6th level

Fighter:

Level = BAB
1 = +1
2 = +2
3 = +3
4 = +4
5 = +5
6 = +6/+1
7 = +7/+2
8 = +8/+3
9 = +9/+4
10 = +10/+5
11 = +11/+6/+1
etc

6th, not 7th
When your BAB (the sum of the BABs of all your classes if you multiclass) is +6 or more, you'll have a second attack with -5
When your BAB is 11 or more you'll have a third attack with -10
When your BAB is 16 or more you'll have a fourth attack with -15
You do not gain any additional attack after the fourth

hey guys i know that already.But what im asking is do other things like uequipments, abilityies and other things improve attack bonus.
for example:
fighter at 3rd lvl has his BAB +3 right?
his strenght modifier is +3. when you geth that together , you'll get +6 attack bonus right?
DOES that makes an second attack, like +6/+1?
I'm asking this `cuz I have been playing this way all along, so i THINK im wrong.so?what is it?

No, equipment and ability scores etc do not grant you extra attacks, only when your actual "Base Attack Bonus" reaches +6 before any modifiers will you get your second attack.

Or you could do away with iterative attacks, period, like Star Wars:Saga Edition has, and the only way to get extra attacks is with feats such as Double Attack, Cleave, Dual Weapon Mastery and Whirlwind Attack etc.

so from your story, after he has achieved his +6 BAB , and therefor he get +1 additional, or second attack, THEN other modifiers apply to attack , or not? maaaan, i feel like we are talking trough def telephones:(

Yes, if you have a 6th level fighter (BAB +6) with a 16 Str (+3), Weapon Focus (longsword) and a +1 longsword his full attack would look like:

Melee +1 longsword +11/+6 (1d8+4/19-20)

As everyone already said, the BAB is the ONLY things that give you iterative attacks. BAB is "Base attack bonus" and it isn't influenced by ANYTHING except your class levels

How many times have we to say BAB?

If you're a 3rd level fighter, your BAB is +3. DOT
If your strength is 18, your total attack bonus is +7, but your BAB is +3. There's no way to make the BAB higher except by increasing your class levels

so! you can actually have at 3rd lvl +7 but not having the second attack `cuz of damn BAB is only +3. crystal clear!super green:P
