Am i reading this correctly.. Any weapon that strikes BaBau or is it Babua ? anyway.. Is any weapons that strikes it isntantly coroded and useless because of the protive slime ? And make weapons get a reflex Save DC 17 to not rust and become useless ... is that using the wields reflex save ?

Sounds like baBua Protective slime is HAUSS!! and a BaBua is a CR 7 .. ish. If i where a player i would try and harvest some of that junk into a vial or something... and ruin someones weapon with it while they where sleeping. or If you where a master thrower by chance you could make a range touch attack against the BBEG's weapon and the vial would break on it destroying his weapon... you'de have to make on heck of a throw though.

Anyway can someone explain BaBau protective slime for me alittle better.

From the Babau entry in the MM:

Protective Slime (Su): A slimy red jelly coats the babau’s skin. Any weapon that touches it takes 1d8 points of acid damage from the corrosive goo, and the weapon’s hardness does not reduce this damage. A magic weapon may attempt a DC 18 Reflex save to avoid taking this damage. A creature who strikes the babau with an unarmed attack, unarmed strike, touch spell, or natural weapon takes this damage as well but can negate the damage with a DC 18 Reflex save. The save DCs are Constitution-based.

A weapon striking a Babau takes 1d8 points of acid damage which ignores hardness. Magic weapons are allowed a DC18 Reflex save to avoid the damage.

From the Magic Items section in the DMG:

DAMAGING MAGIC ITEMS
A magic item doesn’t need to make a saving throw unless it is unattended, it is specifically targeted by the effect, or its wielder rolls a natural 1 on his save. Magic items should always get a saving throw against spells that might deal damage to them— even against attacks from which a nonmagical item would normally get no chance to save. Magic items use the same saving throw bonus for all saves, no matter what the type (Fortitude, Reflex, or Will). A magic item’s saving throw bonus equals 2 + one-half its caster level (round down). The only exceptions to this are intelligent magic items, which make Will saves based on their own Wisdom scores.
Magic items, unless otherwise noted, take damage as nonmagical items of the same sort. A damaged magic item continues to function, but if it is destroyed, all its magical power is lost.

To create a magic weapon, the creator must have a caster level of at least triple the weapon's enhancement bonus, or of the level required for any special ability the weapon possesses.

Eg. for a +1 holy longsword, the weapon has a CL of 3 for the enhancement bonus and 7 for holy. The highest CL applies, so the sword has a save of +5 (2 (base) + 3 (CL)).

Attended objects (magical or otherwise) can use their wielder's saving throws against spells, but the Babau's protective slime is not a spell, so that rule does not apply.

In 3.5 it only takes 1d8 points of damage (not reduced by hardness). A magic weapon can make a reflex save to avoid, a regular weapon may not. The chart on page 166 of the PHB shows the HP of certain weapons. Don't forget that each +1 of enhancement bonus adds +10 hp.

Therefore, the short sword would have only 2 points and likely be reduced to slag, while a +1 short sword would have 12 and would take a couple hits before becoming worthless.

Also, a magic item uses either the bearer's save or its own save, whichever is better. A magic item's saves are all equal to 2 + 1/2 its caster level, rounded down.

Oh, btw, it's "babau." I won't even bother correcting the rest of your grammer and will instead assume that english is not your native language.

If i where a player i would try and harvest some of that junk into a vial or something...

It would suck when it ate through the vial and ruined perfectly good gear in your backpack (or whereever you keep it). That stuff is nasty enough to eat through anything without acid resistance, given enough time.
