so what exactly can't fit into a bag of holding?
I mean not weight wise, the opening is only so big right? can living creatures survive in there? what about dead ones, do they begin rotting in an extra-dimensional space?
if someone has more info than the DMG can provide, i'd love it!

What exactly can and can't you put in to one of these things!!!!??

Some of your questions actually are answered in the DMG (the living creatures question.) It's also not a temporal stasis place, so time goes on normally. (IE, food continues rotting, as does everything else, at its normal rate.)

As to your other questions, use some basic common sense. The opening is about a foot or two in diameter... that's pretty much the only limitation. If you can cram it in there somehow, it can fit.

And bad things happen if you try to put extra-dimensional spaces inside other extra-dimensional spaces.
