Banners, flags, and symbols. [Archive] - Wizards Community

10-11-05, 01:36 PM For a while now I've been working on a homebrew and I'm getting to the point where I need to write up stuff about the cities. I'd like to have some sort of banner, flag, symbol, crest, or something visual that players can use to identify each of the cities. I've found a few things so far, but the majority of what I find on the internet looks to European/British.

Does anybody know of some sites online that have some cool fantasy-style flags, banners, and the whatnot? It doesn't require a fantasy look -- I don't absolutely need a dragon on all of the flags. I just want something different than two griffons/lions embracing a fancy shield.

Illion, appreciated, but I'm not looking for stars-n-stripes flags so much as things with symbols on them that would fit in better in an imaginary world. Maybe something like:

Almost anything could work as long as it doesn't look too much like modern country flags or European family crests. Hell, a flag with a flower drawn on it could work if I could only find some.
