Just like Fighters can sling spells when they level into an arcane class.

I think that illiteracy is an interesting thing put in for flavor. You could enforce a skill point buy.

12-28-06, 03:55 PM Barbarians become literate when they multiclass, unless they only have levels in illiterate classes. A Barbarian/Totemist, for example, is still illiterate, while a Barbarian/Rogue is not.
