I've got a player working on a character for the upcoming gestalt game I'm running.

He's planning on going Bard/Marshal into war chanter, so my question is, how in heck does all that stack?

Bardic music is described as poetics and song, or a played instrument. Can he use singing and oratory while using a marshal aura- which is described as giving direction and orders on the battlefield? Can he use a warchanter chant while using bardic song?

From a standpoint of thematics, I would say none of it should stack, unless he somehow figures out a way for his character to have more than one set of vocal chords. But on the other hand it's not exactly divine persisted metamagic + nightsticks cheese. How would you guys handle this?

You can't sing more than one song at the same time, until 5th level warchanter. Thats when he gets the combine song ability.

As far as the marshal goes, I'm not familiar with the class. If it provides a morale bonus to something the bard song also adds a bonus too, they do not stack. Also remember that using bardic music is a standard action.

Marshal's Aura is basically continously on.
The fluff text is due to speaking being a free action, but as aura works even under a silence spell...take the fluff as just that.

Gestalt...
Pick up some Dragon Shaman levels for more Aura fun.

Just hope your palyer doesn't see the Auramaster build over at the CA boards. They made this build, and tweaked it. I can't remember the exact numers, but it was scary.
