I am going to put my players up against an Abyssal greater Basalisk, they should be able to kill it with little trouble, but I was wondering if, by an off chance, that they fail a saving throw against the petrifying gaze, I want to know if there is any way to reverse the effect. The party is level 6-7 and includes a Cleric.

I'm sure there is a way, I just failed to find it.

Stone to flesh spell. Sor/Wiz 6. The would still need to make a DC 15 Fort save to survive the spell.

*Edit*Same avatar...spooky.

First of all, unless there are more than 4 people in the party, a party of 6-7th level characters should not be able to defeat the abyssal greater basilisk, who has a CR of 12.

The only thing I know of to help a character who has been turned to stone is the spell Flesh to Stone, which requires a 11th level Wizard. (there may be other spells/items/whatever to help, but I don't remember any)

Yes there are more than 4 people in the party. And they will have access to a stone to flesh spell.

Thanks.

Edit: I corrected the spell name, since I wrote it backwards.

I believe the Break Enchantment spell might also work but I'm not 100% certain about that one.
