I'm trying to find the CR of a 50 Orc Level 4 battalion. I’ve use the traditional way to calculate the CR, but I doubt it is good :(

Is the battalion being designed to challenge a party of 4 or so PCs all at once, or will the PCs encounter small portions of the battalion over a series of battles? How many PCs are there and what is the party's average level?

The reason I ask is that such a high number of opponents might not be a match for a high level party, or the orcs might completely overwhelm the party if the party's average level is low.
