| Mr_Crepsley06-20-07, 04:13 PM | Any suggestions for a lvl 8 group consisting of a ranger/assassin, barbarian, monk, and a sorcerer? i want the battle to be fairly epic, as he is a 'final boss' type guy. i was thinking perhaps a lich. They are quite strong physically, so im trying to make a batttle where they need brains as much as power. any suggestions would be helpful.:D |

Maybe he is within a dungeon that the PCs REALLY can;t get through, so they need to find a way to get him out. Maybe leave some hints of possible routes, like say teh BBEG's mother lives in a nearby town, and the PCs can use her as a ransom (all BBEGs are mooma's boys after all). Thigns like that that make it more interesting than the average battle. |

Have the BBEG kidnap the PC's mothers, and turn them into lycanthropes (to have them hunt down their relative), or into vampire spawn (to have them hunt down whoever the vampire lord tells them: their children!) You should set a timer, for example, before dawn, the PCs must have killed the vampire, located his coffin, driven a stake through his heart, picked up his head, brought it to the head temple of Pelor, and pour some holy water in its mouth, right on the altar to Pelor. If they're able to accomplish all that, their mother are brought back to mortal life, and can cook them some pancakes! |
| Radiun06-20-07, 09:36 PM | Make him a Gray Jester with Levels in Bard. Have him turn invisible, using the "Subsonic", I beleive , feat to be unheard while inspiring courage. Have his "Bleak Ones" children attack the adventurers. Let's say the Gray Jester has Song of Heart, Inspiring Boost, and items to boost his Morale boost further. Let's say +5 Total. Now your group has tiny fists of terror pummeling them and have to deal with the children before the Jester :P (Hm, wouold Bleak Ones get the Morale Boost?) |
