01-27-08, 04:47 PM OK ive got an idea for a BBEG im making him an overlord type dude and when he dies his 2nd in command in ressurected and becomes the new BBEG. And i was wanting to put him in a tower of doom or something but im stuck on how to create a world around that. The BBEG is a Half-orc heres what i got on him so far.

HD:11d10+2 (108)
Base Attack:+11
Armor Class:28 ( +2 full plate, +1 heavy steel shield, +2 dex, +3 ring of protection.)
Movement:20 feet
Initiative:+6 (improved init.
Sp:Rage
Attacks:3 Attacks with +2 Bastard Sword 20/15/10
Damage:1d8+9
Face/Reach:5ft.
Special Attacks:None
Special Qualities:darkvision 60 ft.
Saves:Fort+7 Ref+3 Will+3
Abilitys: Str-24 Con-14 Dex-12 Int-10 Wis-10 Cha-7
Skills:NA
Feats:Improved Init. rest NA
Equipment:NA
Class: Fighter

Yes Str is high if i cant figure a way to get it there then im going to change it. Also what would you set the CR for on this guy.

But anyway im trying to create a world setting that will go with the tower. And i didnt want to go with the small land with a big tower on it with a moat of lava. So ideas for a world setting would be much appreciated.:)

01-27-08, 04:50 PM Depends what Ex, Su, Sp and spells he has. Usually I just use the normal CR rules unless I have homebrew traits for my BBEG.

01-27-08, 05:17 PM What is orc/half-orc/human culture like? Out of which is he operating from? (Or, which sort of units does he have) How did he get into power? What sort of attributes do respected/obeyed leaders have in the culture that he is using for his mooks?

For instance, if they are highly religious, and he's not a cleric, he might have to take consel from a shaman and be highly religious himself, or people would start defecting. It also means that mages, if they have any, are sacrificed to protect clerics, and clerics are more likely to leg it while minions make a last stand so the clerics can book it. Clerics are the leaders of troops, and they operate in according to how the god(Power? Gods?) want them to, or how they believe they do.

Or is he using something else for mooks entirely? Outsiders? Golems?
