Best Players you've ever had the privelage of DMing for. [Archive] - Wizards Community

03-31-05, 11:40 PM Here's my list of player all-stars:

1. E. Played a ruthless but noble fighting assassin type PC. Played the character to the hilt. Managed to be something of a loner and a definite asset to the party at the same time. Could motivate the other PCs to action like nobody else. Accurately roleplayed an acute disgust with injustice & tyranny (borne of real convictions, I suspect) and did it such a way that the game benefitted from it. Man, do I ever miss him. He's currently overseas. :ahem:

2. K. Goes out of his way to come up with adventure seeds, and then lets go of them when I take them in a direction he wouldn't have. Deliberately steps out of the limelight if he's dominating it too much. Is generally a pleasant human being to be around. Quick with humor or funny diversions, but also just as quick to drop back into the game.

3. N. Plays an investigative journalist. Digs around in dark corners of my game world and forces me to come up with things I had never even CONSIDERED. Perfectly willing to support the other PCs from outside the spotlight. Takes feats that allow me to place NPCs in the party (that I can then use to disperse clues if they get stuck). Researches her character's abilities and strives to be effective, but doesn't munchkinize. True team player.

4. G. Plays up her inquisitor PC in a way that's menacing, but still funny. Brings a unique sort of feminine badassitude to lawful good. Gleefully chases down petty evils during downtime simply for the sake of staying in character.

04-01-05, 12:13 AM first type in Garith Dragonborn and read my former sig. that guy was hilarious but still cool.
on a different note, a player I hated was casey Lecklider. He was such a loser. I tried running a campaign, one of the palidin's tried to kill him on purpose. he even spit all over us when he tried to hiss as a "dire rat". all over me and my books. had to buy new ones burned the old ones(not really but almost)

04-01-05, 12:22 AM My best player , J., was RP'ing a greedy,psychotic Necropolitan True Necromancer named Orpheus. He was always out to make money using, his undead toughs as Bodyguards, so it made for easy adventure seeds. On top of that, he had a great laugh, ran a magic shop (which he renamed "the smouldering corpse" after a nasty fire) that served as a base of operations. AND he had cleric mgic that aided the party. Ruthless too. Utterly.

04-01-05, 03:56 AM I currently have a goblin rogue in my party. At first I was reluctant to allow a monster race, but the player is up to it. He's a funny guy - both are ("Hey, I'm not a Goblin, I'm a gnome! What about the looks, I got Bilviss fever when I was young and now I'm looking for someone able to restore my face and hair because the other gnomes either pity or ignore me.") and he's really integrating his character well in the (neutral) group.
