Best way to kill Giant monster [Archive] - Wizards Community

04-27-06, 02:38 PM so, the world is about to end. Some giant monster the size of a city is going to destroy you all(not a real predicament of mine, 100% hypothetical). Well I was wondering if this would work.

Teleport a few miles over the giant creature (perhaps casting next spell before??). Strap a fullblade(or greatsword) to your legs (so you are effectively standing on the handguard). Get Giant size (caster lvl 19+ cast on you) to become collosal, and take second large weapon, held in on hand and stabalized with the other and after impact start a whirlwind attack.

so...where are the holes in that plan

which reminds me, is it assumed that the increased weight of each size category in the giant size spell is an additional X8. Cus if im not off by to much, I think a 160lb dwarf that was collosal sized and Iron bodied would be over 6 million lbs

For starters, if you could somehow pull that off, the resulting vibration would awake something from the deep. Assuming, of course, that you even hit the guy.

I don;t know if you've ever seen 6 million pounds (3,000,000 tons) dropped, but it is VERY shakey. That's like how much Pluto weighs*.

*Warning: Possible hyperbole. Not actual weight of Pluto.

1 sturdy eraser. (or redacting pen)
1 naked celebrity.

Application:
When the DM turns to look at the naked celebrity, you erase the monster from his or her preparatory materials.
