It seems that after every seesion, I am left with at least one new question. So rather than clutter things up with questions that I cannot find the answer to, or hypothetical rule bendings, I'm just gonna post them in here.

5/23-

1) a)How much damage will the stop, drop, and roll technique inflict upon a swarm of beetles that have over run a player?
b)If other members in the party strike at the beetles, unarmed, will the player who is wearing the mob, like a sexy new eggar suit, be damaged as well?

2)In the Eberron campaign, are action points subject to rollover, or do you get a certain amount per level, and any you didn't use disappear?

Thanks guys!

Sounds as if you're running the pre-made in the back of the ECS. When I ran this little adventure I ruled:

A stop, drop and roll technique inflicted 1d4 points of damage (no Strength bonus was given and it was a "auto-hit") to the swarm and put the PC in the next 5' square outside of the swarm.
As far as attacking the swarm while a PC was being swarmed on I had only the swarm take damage..not the PC as well.

No rerolls on the d6 Action Points. The amount of d6s vary by levels. I am not sure of the division rates but I know at 1st you get 5 APs (5 d6 rolls). When leveling up these d6 APs "reset" and do not stack. So the burn if ya got em rule would apply here.

Also, check the Eberron Boards.

APs are use 'em or lose 'em.

When you go up a level you lose what you still have and get 5 + char level / 2 new APs.

Thanks! And yeah, we just finished up the pre made in the ECS, so now onto newer things.

1) a)How much damage will the stop, drop, and roll technique inflict upon a swarm of beetles that have over run a player?Personally, I think this is the last thing you would do. When a horde of nasty bugs is crawling up your legs, you have one advantage - height. You don't want to lie down in them and get covered!

The swarm is immume to all weapon damage; this includes "unarmed strikes" (such as rolling on them). I'd be more inclined to give the beetles an additional free strike, even though they normally can't make AoOs.
b)If other members in the party strike at the beetles, unarmed, will the player who is wearing the mob, like a sexy new eggar suit, be damaged as well?Probably, but since the beetles are immune to the attacks, the PCs would only be hurting their friend.
2)In the Eberron campaign, are action points subject to rollover, or do you get a certain amount per level, and any you didn't use disappear?ECS pg 45: "Any action points you didn't spend at your previous level are lost".
