| Tharin G'tal12-23-05, 11:04 AM | I was in the process of creating a npc that used monkey grip to use large weapons when i came up with a question that i cant seem to find the answer too so i wondered if any of you guys knew the answer. When increasing the size of a weapon eg medium longsword to large longsword, does the reach change? Note that it will be a medium size npc (human) Cheers for your input :D |

Thats simply how it is. the only disagreement I have is with reach weapons, and with that, I am not sure how monkey grip would affect...sorta in the grey area Reach Weapons: Glaives, guisarmes, lances, longspears, ranseurs, spiked chains, and whips are reach weapons. A reach weapon is a melee weapon that allows its wielder to strike at targets that aren’t adjacent to him or her. Most reach double the wielder’s natural reach, meaning that a typical Small or Medium wielder of such a weapon can attack a creature 10 feet away, but not a creature in an adjacent square. A typical Large character wielding a reach weapon of the appropriate size can attack a creature 15 or 20 feet away, but not adjacent creatures or creatures up to 10 feet away. |
