A biography (I assume is what you're talking about) is not really necessary, unless you mean a background for the character, in which case they should do it (normally.) ,what should the PCs do with tere characters after ending the sheet?. What should the PCs do with there characters after...ending the sheet? Uh...not sure what you're asking. Play them? |

| Free198312-19-06, 05:51 AM | Hi, There is nothing wrong with a DM who is limiting the options of his/her players (although some posters are likely to say the contrary). You can limit your players in their background (bio) if it serves your adventure/campaign. If you have a quest about the lost cities of dwarves (who where exterminated two centuries ago) it would be kind of strange to have a dwarf in your party. Player 1: Ok, so we have to find these dwarves. Anyone has got suggestions? Player 2: Hey you, Tordek. You're a dwarf, where did your relatives go? Player 3 (dwarf): Uhmm, well... Not pretty sure... Heck, where am I coming from myself? So don't be afraid to tell your players to add some info into their background. It's also a good way to get your PC's together. If they all live in the same city, and something happens in that city you have a motivation for all your players with the same plothook. In this case your players can't live in a city two hunderd kilometers further. So basically you are limiting their options, but that's ok. Hope this helps, Cheers |
