I am trying to make bizarre magical dungeon for my pcs
But i cant come up with enough good ideas
I was wondering if anyone could help out?

It needs to be around 3th level
There cant be any monsters that need food (meaning almost anything living), unless they have an explained regenerating food source(nothing can be imported regularly)
and each encounter needs to have at least piece of magic, or an unorthodox feature (like lava)

if possible could u ost any previous encounters u have used, or any ideas that fit the criteria? plz and thank you

Have you seen an adventure called "Needle" (1st ed Adnd) - it has a great dungeon in it that might be kind of what you are after (that is actually some sort of downed spaceship. I don't think it has monsters in it, but it has plenty of neat puzzles and disintergration fields..

Some bizarre ideas:

There is this room in the Sam'n'max hits the road game where people change size depending on where you stand in the room - there are also all these doors of varying sizes. In another room there are a bunch of switches - depending on their combination affects how tall or short you get in various parts of the room thereby allowing you to use certain doors...

River on the ceiling filled with dangerous fish that leap out and bite characters heads...

Oohhh Lava flowing on the ceiling would be great - go ahead, jump the pit hehe. Don't cast anything antimagic or sploosh..... Or if you break the surface somehow it releases all the lava.

It would be bizarre if everything in the dungeon was reversed, except for the PC's - all the rooms, creatures, treasure would be on the ceiling (I'm on a roll with my ceiling theme here)

A dungeon set inside another animal would be really bizarre..

A puddle with a killer whale in it...look at that little black and white fish in there - hey its getting bigger! CHOMP

How about none of the doors go into the rooms you can see through them - and going back through them simply goes to another room....Could be fun for strings of surprise encounters..

Each room could be its own pocket dimension - you could step into arctic wastes, and the next could be full of water...

Have you seen "the cube"? This has a three dimentional dungeon where each room is a cube all stacked up together with a 'door' on each side. The rooms also move about at intervals in relation to eachother.

Here's one from a dungeon specifically engineered to be as creepy as possible. I felt obligated to warn my PCs that I was going for maxium freak-factor, and I guess you deserve the same courtesy. The following is pretty creepy, but not creepy enough to deserve a spoiler block.

The dungeon was refered to as Hell House, and was a warlord's palace, only with things set up to be as freaky as I could make them. The harem was filled with brutally slaughtered, pretty young women. Poking around and searching would find some fine jewelery and gems, and that these girls had been dead long enough to be cold, although there was absoltuely no sign of rot. When the PCs got to the far side of the room the crowd of zombies get the their feet. I'd let you know how that one turned out, but the PCs were far more eager to get out of that dungeon than they were of finding treasure and XP, and managed to avoid the harem. The only time I got that halfling to think that way.
