This isn't a complaint thread... let me make that clear. This thread is meant for DMs to come on and share the strange behaviors of there players that aren't so much disruptive as they are distracting or just plain weird.

For instance, I have a player that was a music major in college. I cannot use atmospheric music because he'll get totally lost in analyzing it and not listen at all to the game.

I also have a player who often flies off at the handle when something bad happens to her character--that's not uncommon. However, she Frequently tears up her character sheet in the process.

Also, I have a player who obsessively plans their character. Not just in a minmaxy way (which is all too common, I'm afraid), but also in a personality/voice/items way. He roleplays his character BY HIMSELF and tests it against monsters. Maybe this is common. I don't know. It find it bizarre.

Anyone else with quirky players?

I have two players, who played brothers that were fighters. Before every battle they would pretend they had swords in there hand and swiing them over their head 3 times and then "clink" and hit them togethere.

They also arranged their dice in a H pattern.

This first section is just ONE guy:
His character's all have half-dragon brothers (regaurdless of character race).
His characters all have lengthy family trees.
He flies off the handle when something bad happens to his character (lots of cussing, then sits back down after awhile).
He tries to stack all 25 dice vertically.
You can't play much background music besides rap without complaints. I swear to God, playing D&D while listening to "Colt 45" by Afroman or "Magic Stick" by "Fitty" Cent has to be one of the most retarded experiences life has to offer (this includes purposly shooting yourself in the foot with a dart gun).
"Hey, let's try some metal..." *puts Metallica in*
"Turn that s:censored: off! It ruins the mood!"
"Okay...." *Tries Godsmack*
"Still ruins the mood. Play something like D-12..."
"How's music from INUYASHA or FINAL FANTASY soundtracks?"
"Final Fantasy? Is that a you-know-what film?"
"Fine." *Inserts Lord of the Rings soundtrack into CD player*
"We're going to play D&D to THIS?"

:tantrum: :banghead:

*Shoves rap CDs down the player's throat*

Colt .45 by Shinedown? Yes. Colt .45 by Afroman? Do not tempt me to grab my rifle.

Next guy:
All characters are emotional bricks.
Takes him at least 25 versions to get a character "just right".

Next guy:
All characters are drug addicts (ussually to certain smoked substances). Often teams up with the first guy I mentioned, and has the same feelings about background music.

I always play female characters. Well, almost always. It's a rare day in hell. SOmehow it's easier for me to divorce my own thoughts and personality into a believable female character (possibly because I'm not one), and thusly, I avoid the pitfall of metagaming, as it's harder for me to identify in real life with the character, I fall into the right thought patterns during game - it's easier for me to say, "I would say this, but Tanya would say this."

I also liek to have all my dice out on the table, even if I won't come close to using them all. Yes, if I'm playing a fighter, I need all my d6's out.

I also tend to sketch during play. I'm paying attention, I just.... I'm drawing, too. Especially when there's a cut-away scene I'm not in going on.

I have had two players in the past who had ... I consider them suicidal tendancies to stand up to any kind of authority, anywhere, at any time.

That god is breathing down your neck?
Tell him to :censored: himself.
The friendly influencal lord whose help you need?
Tell him to do what you say or you'll kill him and his entire family.

And to continue, one of them is obsessive about small unit tactics ... it doesn't matter the setting, it dosen't matter at all, he'll find some way to incorporate small unit tactics in the game (I mean if it means buying pitchforks and torches for the local pesantry, he'll do it, as long as he's at the head of this seemingly highly disciplined crack squad of 1st level commoners). Said small units will be disposed of without a second thought if a 'decent' battle is forthcoming, even if it is an unwinnable one.

Oh yes ... and the other guy (still with the authority complex) had a disturbing tendancy to end campaigns. In one, he used a weapon of mass destruction on a mind-controlled crowd ... no one was in any danger of the crowd, and the solution was already in hand (eliminate the people who are mind controlling the crowd ... they had eliminated maybe 20% by this point). Blam. Thousands die. Ick. In another, he decided that he didn't want to play anymore and attacked and managed to kill the entire party, save one, who passed out and stabilized. He died when his rage wore off.

I have a player who subscribes to the Dragonball Z School of Problem Solving. To wit: "The Solution To Any Problem Is To Hit It. If That Doesn't Work, Hit It Harder. If That Doesn't Work, Hit It Even Harder."

We encounter a locked door.
He goes to knock it down.
We stop him.
He shrugs, says "Fine", and draws his Axe to chop it down.
We stop him.
He asks us how we expect to get through the door.
Me: "Dude ... I'm playing a ROGUE. I have LOCKPICKS."
At this point, I usually threaten to smash his head until candy comes out.

Well, one of my players usually dances (yes, dances):looloo: befora rolling his dices for major battles, he also dances after winning something good. The other (my brother) is generally normal but him (not the char, the player himself) can't stand someone calling him names so when the players are bored I simply make a ramdon NPC call his char names, for the most stupid reasons and, tchanan! Instant combat!

See ... this is why i don't use background music!!! it distracts. the game should set the mood ... not the music!!!

Oh and weird players?? We are all weird ... but not half as weird as the people you guys mention!! Swinging imaginary swords three times??? We did have one guy playing in our party who always made all the sound effects. When something hit the flour ... he'd knock on the table. When someone knocked a door ... he knocked on the table. When there were wolves approaching ... he would go AAAAA-WOOOOOO. It got pretty annoying. We got rid of him.

Yep. Rock and metal (specifically gothic rock) can fit the mood perfectly if you plan your music out.

Rap NEVER fits the mood.

In my campaigns the players are pretty normal.

But I've played in a campaign with two people who are always loudly discussing (ingame) things, like which way to go or what to do now. Another player then suggests something with a soft voice. The discussing players (off course) don't hear him. After 3 times he springs up and sais he's tired of playing because nobody is listening to him...

And a player (I'm not playing with her, but heard it of other players form that campaign) leaves the room when there is combat, bacause she thinks combat is boring...
DaTedinator

05-14-04, 01:46 PM
I got a player that about 5 minutes after combat he says he is bored and wants to go play video games. If ever we are doing anything RP-wise he wants to go. Then combat comes and he's all excited... until it's over. He's always on my back because my games are so boring. Grr....

The first guy I mentioned in my original post has the tendancy to do that (as does the second).

Of course, the first guy can go on for HOURS if it's HIS character talking......

Well here goes..

One player creates the most idiotic plans to do things I dont want
(a minor thing, since this is sorta the point of roleplaying, but he just comes up with the most insane things and THEY OFTEN WORK) and the other nearly always plays beautifull females who smoke and cast spells (again, the player does this very well, but it is HARD to get him to do anything but these great characters, playing males for instance). Still I love them, for they are part of my flock  and always deliver when it comes to fun roleplaying.

My other players are actually considered fairly normal..

I tend to avoid "Mood music". It's often too much trouble to spend the time to put together the "ideal" mix CD that will have proper music for proper moments. Plus, I have to stop what I'm doing, turn around and turn the CD player on, let the song play while we're fighting, and make sure I hit "repeat" on that track to keep it going in case the fight goes longer than 3-5 minutes (which most combats do if they go beyond about three rounds, particularly at higher levels), or else I have to stop again and hit the "back" button to restart the track.

I don't mind music, but I'd rather just have some music I enjoy playing in the background. My standing rule has always been that the Dungeon Master is the one who controls the music, although the players should be encouraged to bring a CD or two of stuff they like. The only caveat on this is that if it's something the DM positively can't stand (like rap with me; the only rap I actually enjoy, for some strange reason, is Eminem...), then it doesn't get played. Over time, most people learn what kind of stuff has a reasonable chance of getting played, and which CDs are going to consistently wind up at the bottom of the pile, never to be played at the session.

Besides, it isn't rap, it's (c)rap. :D

Dungeon_Master's statement is a fact at my table.

Back to the thread. This is something most of us are guilty of, and I think there's a thread for it: superstitions.

"I told you not to use that die"
"Left hand roll for attack, right for damage" You don't want to know about saving throws.

I'm pretty science oriented, the main purpose of dice is to be random, none of this should matter. I'm still guilty as a player and a GM.
Durick

05-17-04, 06:01 PM
Most of ours are silly dice superstitions...

Have a friend who rolls his sets of dice over and over to see which is "rolling better" that night.

Of course, I'm guilty too... we played at my house one night and now i'd like to play there every time since my dice clearly roll better there :p

As for any other things, I play with guys I've known forever so i'm probably just desensitized to their wacky mannerisms
Arcuna

Ok here is a list of things I hate:

First off, we can rarely get a full house, even when everyone PROMISES to be there (grr)

DM: Ok your turn
DM: What are you doing?
Player: Roling damage.
DM: Did you hit them?
Player: That is what I'm doing this round.
(Some of them hardly understand what ROLL playing is)

Enough ranting...I know this isnt what this thread is for.

as far as quirks go, my players like to roll their dice...always...constantly.

One of my players rolls a die, covers it once it stops, peeks at it to make sure it's good...and if it isn't, he rerolls.

Two of my players like to quote Babylon 5 all the time. If one of them isnt there, the other pouts.

And worst of all...favored dice.
"That's the die I'm using!"
"No, I wanna use it!"
"But I had it first!"
"I used it last time!"

lol all in all, you gotta love 'em though :)

That's not a quirk, it's cheating. I wouldn't let someone like that in my house. If a person is dishonest enough to cheat at a game that has no (cash/trophy) reward outside of the game, you can expect them to steal as well.

It's a fact that goth rock fits a horror flavored game much better than 50 Cent or Afroman. -_-

I program to bands like Tool and Rammstein because it drowns out every other distraction, design to 80s wave and goth, and listen to 50's, 60's, or 70's album rock at lunch and dinner. None of these are to set a mood, per se. In my car I listen to just about any type of music, including Blue Grass, Funk, Blues, Progressive, Classical, 70s and early 80s rap, and Emo. I'm not a fan of pop country or pop R&B.

Just because someone likes a style of music doesn't typically grant it the title "mood music", even if that's what he/she listens to while doing something. Also, just because music fits the theme doesn't make it "mood music". Even side two (yes, albums once had sides) of Queen's A Kind Of Magic, which is basically the original Highlander soundtrack complete with lyrics fitting most D&D games, is far too demanding of attention to be suitable. Mood music has to be unobtrusive, like a movie soundtrack. When a major motion picture studio uses rap in a fantasy film I'll... wait, I need to be careful, since one probably already has.

For gaming mood I go with something celtic or classical. Also, wilderness sounds or new age ambient can be great for setting a mood.

Heh, I have a friend of mine who is *constantly* trying to play Aerosmith and Ozzy and other heavy metal stuff during the sessions. Nothing like pasty white guys in leather screaming at a microphone to set the mood while in the Elven Queen's court >_<;

I'll agree with Eldren: almost all rap, I can't stand, except for Eminem. I mean, I wouldn't go out and buy his album, but at least his lyrics seem to be thought provoking. Still isn't any good as mood music though.

Quirks... Lessee... Our resident bard absolutely will *not* use any bard special ability or spell unless he can make up a song to go with it.

Our party rogue is notorious for getting in over her head. The same player lost a third level halfling druid when he tried to melee a Gibbering Mouther with a dagger, and his current character tried to sneak attack a Hopping Vampire... She's still recovering the Constitution drain.

Oh... And most of our players have hats that fit their characters. One has a purple pointed cap for a gnome wizardess, while another has a jester cap, complete with bells, a viking horned helmet for the dwarf, a nice, big hat with plumed feathers for the bard... It helps add character without going to LARP ^_^

All my players have dice superstitions. They absolutely refuse to use any dice that I've rolled during the session, and my personal gray dice are totally off limits. They always seem to roll critical failures with them ^_^
Their favorite dice is an ugly white one with red numbers that came out of a miniatures box. They'll use that any time there's even a remote chance of something bad happening.

You all shall read this as I post it, and probably pity me, but first, let me give you some background info on our group.

We started up last november, and as of right now, we have eight members, two of which we have certified DMs (Myself and one other). Now, there are two couples in the group, DM #1 and his girlfriend, and the local loudmouth and her boyfriend (A brown belt in karate). Then we have the lowly high school freshman, and the Not So Dorky Band dork. Lastly we have the female human calculator (The brown belt is a HC too) who is also a Not So Dorky Band Dork. Oh and me, who, is relatively normal for a sophomore with severe mental issues. We are all pretty good friends, though everyone else gets on my nerves because they talk too much. It's currently my Dming shift, and I'll share with you some of the bizarre characters I've dealth with up to now (From my game and the previous DM's game)

Megrim's Wall of Weirdos:

That Damn Spoony Bard: This one was from the previous game. She was voted the biggest goody goody most likely to get raped when drunk. She had a bad habit of insulting everyone else, including my PC, a lawful evil megalomaniacal lizardfolk monk (Who would have killed her eventually, had he not died). She flirted with everyone everywhere, and just plain sucked at being a bard. She's also the school gossiper, and the sound of her voice is so stereotypical it's annoying. My character ran an elaborate plot to assassinate her, because she was on the verge of becoming a queen (It failed, he died, darn it!). She is once again trying to run a similar character in my game, I told her if she was as annoying as last game, I'd start writing up rules on spontaneous combustion...

The Tweaky Half Elf: This one was a DMPC ftr/rog. He was, in a word, tweaky. Whenever he saw someone do something he couldn't he tried to do it, so, one herbalist and five alchemist's fires later, we had a dead DMPC

I SEE DEAD PEOPLE: This one was amusing. The DM's girlfriend was playing either an elf or a half elf rogue, who, saw things. She screamed in her sleep and stared at things that weren't there, needless to say she started a few bar brawls with the superstitious locals.

thats all for now, I'll post some more later

The numbers “one” and “two” have been replaced by the words “frig” and “dammit”, respectively. Yes, my players will say “I rolled a frig!” This is particularly true for initiative die rolls. (“Frig” and “dammit” apply before modifiers.) And no, I didn’t clean that up for the boards, it’s really “frig”.

One of them made a tea cup for me that says, “Cursed, -1 on all dice” on the bottom. Of course, I use that as much as possible.

During a previous campaign one of the PCs had a magic sword with a remarkable damage range. The party would always try to get the player to say “bad mamba jamba” before he would roll damage for it. He hated saying it.

If you think *insert hated music type* spoils the mood, try working with cage full of barking frogs behind you.

we dont really have many quirks in our group unless its me, i DM occassionally and when im not DMing im playing a rogue, before a campine we all knwo what class oru character is goign to be ill be the rogue, we have our wizard or cleric, our fighter or barb, and liek a ranger or druid, we cover the basics really well, we have played together for years so we KNOW how to play our class its liek part of our personalities

ne way, any time i get my hands on alchimists fire there is trouble, for instance, one of our fighters was holding one and was waiting to throw it, i didnt see why he was waiting i mean the plants in the other room were attacking one of our tanks so i grabed it from him and threw it, thus forcing our tank to run for his life and engage in a battle against a moon calf on his own for 4-5 roundsa before we codul get there, none the lett i almost got him killed

then there was once when we were loking at a plant in a room then, it spewed its sleep spores at us, our druid who went to check what kind of plant it was was put to sleep after we got him out of there i busted out my alchimist fire hiding behind the door to watch it burn, well apparently the spores were flamiable, and when the whjole room exploded causeing holes broken open up and down in a 2 florr radius, and threw me back against the wall and knocked me out, i almost died, and then science my body was still on fire from the explosion my friend decided to save me or not as i burned, then the spider webs on the floor ignited once again we had to run for our lives.

then once we got in a fight with some durger and they turned invisible some how we managed to trap them behind a door but it was kind of open so i went to drop a alchimists fire through the door, but i guess i put my hand in too far, story shortened they scored 3 criticals on my arm and it got chopped off half way down my left forearm, a rogue with out an arm wasnt to useful, so we spent a good 2 months goign on a side quest to get my arm back,

then there is our barbarian, he has one thing in mind....destroy, attack, and eat. He goes to bars strikes up fights with the owners when he cheats in arm wresteling contests becasue he uses rage and gets his but kicked. Well he decided to charge on a icy cliff edge and slipped on some ice, then he got hit by a boulder off the edge... lots of damage, but every time we start to tell him the damage hes liek "i can take it" he always says it and he usually gets knocked out lol, like we were on a boat and he got hit with a cannon ball and then when he got up he got impaled on a ballista, its wasnt pretty we r still trying tog et off our boat and hes dying, our boat is sinking and we r surrounded by pirate ships

I have a player who is always a pixie and a player who, every session, says he has a new character because his old character died from falling down a set of stairs. There are no longer any stairs in my world, just ramps thanks to him.

On a side note, my dice blessing ritual is "I bless these dice to Gary Gygax, Monte Cook, and Evil Dungeon Master Bakura. May they always roll 1337ly."

And finally, I like the Beastie Boys and hate Eminem and I would never use any rap in my campaign except for D20 modern games.

First of all, about the music stuff: If you use music to create a type of "feel" with a situation, WHO THE **** CARES what band it is? As long as it does its job at the "feel" thing.

Next,

Cheating players huh? I knew a couple of players who rolled their dices onder their chairs or some other place far away from everybodies eyes, then picking them up really fast and saying "I hit an armor class (and then some number)", at one time I checked the result and what a surprise, even if he had rolled a 19 he cound't have hit the ac he was proclaiming to have hit.
Nowadays, in my adventure I always have some sort of plate of open space on the table for players to roll their dice on, its very childish but if everybody NEVER misses in an important combat scene and everybody ALWAYS makes every save they have to it gets really odd really fast.

And then there is XP, again in 2nd edition I had a Fighter/Mage and for those who never played 2nd edition; everytime you got XP you'd divide it into the number of classes your character had and that way making slow progress if you had multiple classes. Combining that with the knowledge that in 2nd edition every class had a different XP advancement table, we were all very surprised to find that the F/M was always 2 levels higher than the highest level char of the party, IN BOTH CLASSES.

Luckily those players either matured a bit or stopped playing.
So I dont have that problem anymore.

No more of a coincidence than the fact that you are the first here to insinuate racism. But while we’re at it, are you saying that Eminem is less authentic than a black rapper? Would a black D&D player be less authentic than a white one, given that D&D is been labeled a “white hobby” for years, with few people of color taking part?

Maybe you should re-read my post. I'm a music and lyrics fan. The problem I personally have with rap is that it offers so little to music, instead being a form of poetry over a beat. The rhyme and meter of a lot of rap is fantastic, and for that alone I give the authors credit as artists. Poetry should be enjoyable when read alone. I've found almost no modern rap worth the ink when you look at subject matter, as the rap industry now seems steeped in a destructive culture of self-oppression and abuse, regardless of the skin color of the rapper. This fact is recognized by many black musicians, and you don't see the same crap, for lack of a better term, in lyrics sang by most black singers in bands.

And before you make a poor attempt to link people’s preferences for “white music”, I bet most people here understand that Rock of all forms has its roots in what was labelled “black music”. As a fan of the Blues and early Rock and Roll I’ll never forget to give credit where credit is due.

I was gonna bite my tongue on this, but it's impossible.
almost all rap, I can't stand, except for Eminem
like rap with me; the only rap I actually enjoy, for some strange reason, is Eminem
THAT, my friend, is "insinuating racism". You don't see that?

Is Eminem authentic? Is Elvis Presley fat and dead? Would a black D&D player be less enthusiastic? I don't know, why don't you ask every single one of my players. And I didn't read your post at all, so I don't know if you're a music fan or a dogfood fan. But regardless, isn't it pointless to debate opinions? I mean, seriously. Isn't this whole debate a matter of personal preference?

So who are YOU to tell ME "rap doesn't fit the mood". It doesn't fit YOUR mood. Speak for yourself. I just wanted to offer a polite counterpoint to the opinion that rap music can't be played at the gaming table. It sure as hell can. You just need to know what to look for.

And with your whole "destructive culture of self-oppression and abuse" routine, you obviously don't know what to look for. And that's fine. But don't go around passing off half-azzed opinions and judgements as FACT.

And yeah, go right ahead and diss the Marvin Gayes, Al Greens and Isaac Hayes of the world. Whateva makes you feel better, man.

Bottom-line: Do YOU. Don't tell ME rap doesn't fit at the gaming table. There's 7,000 instrumental tracks that disagree with you.

The instrumentals may have been recorded by artists who also produce rap, but that doesn’t make them rap, anymore than it would turn classical into rap if one of the rappers played in the London Symphony Orchestra.

So what would you call it, just out of curiousity? If a Hip Hop beat isn't a hip hop beat - what the heck is it?Some have called it Beat-Box-Jazz, since the beat has a lot of its roots there. I’m not sure if the label will ever catch on, but I’d not have posted at all if you had just called it “Hip-Hop”, which means a lot of things to a lot of people. While Rap is a part of it, the music is distinct.

You’re insinuating racism and then leaving out some of what people are saying. There is a huge difference between I'll agree with Eldren: almost all rap, I can't stand, except for Eminem.andI'll agree with Eldren: almost all rap, I can't stand, except for Eminem. I mean, I wouldn't go out and buy his album, but at least his lyrics seem to be thought provoking. Still isn't any good as mood music though.

btw: I don't correct people for misspelling words unless they’re doing so on purpose. Think hard about what the purposeful use of “alwayz “, “half-azzed”, “whateva”, etc. does to a culture. It’s part of the self-oppression that I’m talking about.

In my group, we have a player who inevitably plays a character with the following traits:

Extremely selfish/anti-social

Very weak in the Strength catagory

Goes completely ape whenever anyone "steals" from him.

So, in every game, it is inevitable that
A. His character acts like a jerk
B. In retribution, someone will borrow something of his, and be very aloofly reluctant to immediately return it.
C. He will go nuts, at which point he will be KO'd/held down by someone strong until he cools down.
D. He will then attampt suicide, at which point the DM will say "fine, you're out for this session"
E. He will sulk for 5 minutes, then rejoin the game, and all will be well.

Seriously, this plays out about once every 4 sessions. It's like the changin of the seasons or the sunrise; something you can look forward to at timely intervals.

I have a player who always uses his character sheet to support whatever he`s eating (pizza, cookies, etc). He says its the principle of the thing.

Another one always retorts to torture if a prisoner wont talk (no &%¤ what his char`s alignment is), this usually involves the threat (and possibly doing) of removing certain parts in the genetalia area. All his characters have a complete lack of respect for authority (now to mention more of my players have that ).

Another one still, never ever has the imagination to come up with a proper name for his characters, his name ranging from certain known fantazy characters, to the producer of the potato chips bag he has bougth(I kid you not), to the local priest if he`s playing cleric. It usually comes down to us giving him a name :D

Hmmm. I've been accused of racism by my players because some the only rappers I have much liking for aren't black (Beasty Boys, some Eminem, but I don't know if Limp Bizkit really counts as rap).

No one has ever noticed my respect and liking for the music of people like Jimi Hendrix or Lenny Kravitz though.

I guess one of the things that annoys me about alot of rap (and many of it's listeners I've met) is the glorification of gang culture, and the general attitude of "if you have had both parents your whole life and aren't from the ghetto, you're a retard."

I noticed another quirk recently while playing D20 Modern: No once understands that in the real world or in this game, semi automatics can be just as good as automatic rifles when used properly.

If you're angry about something, that's fine. You probably shouldn't have brought the racial issue into this, particularly since I doubt about 99% of the people who have indicated a preference for Eminem, but a dislike for most other rap, consider as a "deciding factor" the fact that Marshall Mathers is white at all. I know I don't; I could care less if he's white or black or Native American or Japanese or Ukranian or South African or Lebanese. I like his music; I like how thought-provoking his lyrics can be (but not always are), and I like how he seems to have this natural gift for pushing peoples' buttons. He's at least honest with his music, which isn't something that can be said for the majority of rap, and if he advocates violence in some of his songs, you at least know it's because of his legitimate feelings, and not because he wants to "represent" for his gangsta homeys back in the "hood".

The point of this is, this thread was probably coming along just fine, with little danger of violating the Code of Conduct, until you decided to play the race card. As it stands now, this thread already teeters on the edge of becoming a river of flame, and it just
SHOULDN'T

If you have a problem with Eminem, or any other artist mentioned in this thread when it comes to mood music, no problem; let's discuss it like sensible and non-discriminatory adults. But if you have to keep playing the race card, maybe you should just look for a different thread to participate in. I'm sure the rest of us just aren't interested in politically-motivated aspersions being cast where none were originally intended or desired.

Just to let you know a little secret, most of the entertainers that are on that gangsta rap as you call it are doing so because the ones getting them paid(Managers, Publicists, etc.) are telling them that is what sells.

Also I find it quite interesting how when Eminem spews violence it is because he is being honest and legitimate with his feelings yet when another hip hop artist(For instance one that has been shot nine times such as 50 cent.), that truly grew up in a bad area does so, he is representing for his gangsta homeys back in the hood.<----Representing for his gangsta homies ? LoL! Good grief child, Where did you learn this ? On the Family Matters sitcom ?

Word of advice: Stop watching Boyz in the Hood(A very lame and old movie.) and afterwards thinking that you have been highly educated on what goes on in Urban areas today.

If you have a problem with Eminem, or any other artist mentioned in this thread when it comes to mood music, no problem; let's discuss it like sensible and non-discriminatory adults.

Please familiarize yourself with the definition of discrimination before making such statements.

Courtesy of Merriam-Webster's dictionary:

Main Entry: dis·crim·i·nate
Pronunciation: dis-'kri-m&-"nAt
Function: verb
Inflected Form(s): -nat·ed; -nat·ing
Etymology: Latin discriminatus, past participle of discriminare, from discrimin-, discrimen distinction, from discernere to distinguish between -- more at DISCERN
transitive senses
1 a : to mark or perceive the distinguishing or peculiar features of b : DISTINGUISH, DIFFERENTIATE <discriminate hundreds of colors>
2 : to distinguish by discerning or exposing differences;
especially : to distinguish from another like object
intransitive senses

The other half of your post:

He's at least honest with his music, which isn't something that can be said for the majority of rap, and if he advocates violence in some of his songs, you at least know it's because of his legitimate feelings, and not because he wants to "represent" for his gangsta homeys back in the "hood".

The above statement qualifies as discrimination as verified by the definition above.

Every American is guilty of this to some extent. Just to let you know Americans speak and sometimes write a bastardized form of English. As a matter-of-fact a so called slang word such as "bling bling," is being added to the American English dictionary.

When a young caucasian says rad or dude they are not referring to "ionizing radiation," or "a man extremely fastidious in dress or manner". Therefore these are also slang terms.

I fully support that statement!

I always laughed at that part of the Predator movie... there is no way a human could hold a gun like that and shoot it at the same time.... heck the chain of amo is bloody heavy enough by itself, and the recoil....

If you get good at some of the realistic 1st person shooter games on a PC (Tom Clancy type ones - Rainbow six etc).... you realise that if you have skill, you are better off with a smaller gun. If you are a novice, then a bigger fully-auto might do the trick.

(In Rainbow 6, I happen to be crazy enough to carry semi-automatics into maps with heavy fighting. While wearing Light armor. :smirk: MWAHAHAHA!)

Exactly. First, the gun itself is pretty heavy. Add the continuous 11KG while firing. You are going to be VERY uncomfortable, and probably more concerned with holding onto the gun than anything else. NOW, add the battery packs that the gun requires to spin the barrels.

On the same note, one of them often thinks Two-handed swords, should be possible to weild one handed, based on the fact Inuyasha can hold the Tetsuiga one handed (I don't pay hugely much attention to the fighting on the show, but it looks like he always slashes with both hands on his sword).

Elusive.

Your statement was and I quote you:

Rap NEVER fits the mood.

MSD as well as other DM's I know have stated that it does indeed fit the mood of their tables. Therefore your statement is not fact. You cannot measure every DM by your own limited preferences. Stay focused when dealing with me. I shall only instruct you to do so once.

G and S who were 'best' friends however they spent as much time irking each other pcs they slowed the game down. It was amazing what the group could cover if only 1 appeared at the table.

S. Whines if the pc takes more 1 pt of damage.

R. tries to come with plan which cover all possiblities (which sometimes gives me ideas) and minizes the damage. Even on the lowly two orcs at the gate.

R. When he needed a make a roll would cheat by rolling on his book. When it did not matter the dice could end up behind by screen.

D. Can I make a pet out it.

D. Characters either look like, acted like, name like Marvel comic heros or Dc villians.

Well, most of the people in my group are quite insane.

Guru (Above poster) happens to be one of the sanest.

We have...
A Munchkin/Rules Lawyer (Keeps lying about the rules) that keeps copying names/ideas from everything.
An insane halfling (In real life, he's actually that short) who barely knows how to play but insists that he could be the best DM of us all.
An Emotionally-Sensetive player who usually goes as a half-orc... I'm still confused about that one.
A maniacal monster that plays as a Paladin (He's really Chaotic Evil I say!) and DMs D20 modern...
And the one with every. single. freakin. d&d book. That will always play as a fighter/barb with a full-blade.

And then... There's me.
The Halfling sorceror/thief.

Twelve of the last fourteen posts have been exclusively about this music thing. That's really sad to have hijacked a thread for such a ridiculous reason. Take this somewhere else.

Anyway.

One of the guys in my group has a 6'9" Half-elf that has an INT score of 9, yet insists that the only thing he can utter is the word "Blarg". And he plays the character to fit whatever mood he's in OOC.

Another guy wanted his character to be a Fire Elemental Prince who could shapeshift at will into human form and back. When I said that it was practically impossible to do (seeing as I was still trying to figure all of the rules out myself), he became quite dejected, and eventually settled on a paladin. The only thing that seemed to keep his interest was combat.

Neither of the two above even role-played well. Our next contestant is a LARPer, and drove the other two insane. He plays a halfling rogue, who is continually made fun of because he's a halfling. He comes up will all of his brilliant ideas for situations well after the fact, which is a shame because they would make the game a lot more interesting.

And, of course, there's me, who, in their first adventure as a group, had them in a haunted mansion fighting animated candlesticks a la Beauty and the Beast. The idea was original enough, but they really couldn't take it seriously. This was my fault, but I wasn't phased by that since I saw it as more of a trial run for the group. As a side note, the candlesticks almost won. . . .

M: Always has numerous pets of some sort (beaver, goat, hamster, whatever)

M: Always takes slaves, no matter his alignment, other people's reactions, the usefulness of a slave, the exhorbitant cost of slave upkeep, the dangers of taking slaves, or anything else.

A: Plays freak characters (illithids, drow, etc.), then complains when the townfolk flee in terror or his chr gets killed because the LA left him with practically no hp.

A: Has an unlucky d20 the size of my fist (it rolls something like three 1s in a two hour session) that he uses exclusively

JD: Always plays the paladin, without RPing a pally because "they're cool!"

JH: Always plays Oriental Adventures characters with no regard to RPing, setting, viability, or the concept of honor ("I throw my ancesteral wakasachi at the dragon!"). If not allowed to play something asian, he'll quit.

All: Despite no attempts at deception ever in the campaign, they suspect every NPC of being evil or "out to get them". Anyone met out on the road is treated to a scream of attack and flying blood.

All: Beleive that they are invincible, despite evidence to the contrary. When one of them dies, they mope and claim I was picking on them. God forbid a TPK ever happens.

He also always wants a mastercraft katana because "Katanas are the BEST!", has tried to make a bunch of special rules for martial arts than could fill a book the size of the DMG, AND often tries to use martial arts moves like the "futai nuki wammy" in game?

Well, I didn't think I had any wierd players... but thinking back I do, though it never occured to me then.

In game things...
There was this one player:
His idea of making a new character was to erase his old stats, apply the new stats and make some minor adjustments to anything related. He would rebuy the basic equipment with his new money, the best armor he could afford, a weapon, and a few minor items. He would keep the rest the same, name, appearance, age, history.
The same guy got mad one day when he rolled badly and bit his dice violently... he hurt his jaw and looked dumb.
He also threw his dice off the porch and refused to play the rest of the day.
Another time he tried to eat one of the fallen party members... which resulted in my PC at the time, punching him in the head while wearing a cestus... this in turn resulted in the other Alaghi PC punching me and knocking me out...
Then there was the time when he didn't like his character (when he actually made one) and he ate it so he wouldn't have to play it.
He used to try to adjust his stats and xp too, then act like he never did it, even though we all knew he habitually did it.
He was notorious for starting fights in the game with other PCs.
He always stole from PC's.

Then there were others, offhand I can think of one guy who took a dump on the dungeon floor midfight...

i guess i might be kind of weird becasue i klind of just pick up random things everyonce and a while, liek for instance on my person as of now i have 2 empty flasks one filled with slat water, a dragons eye that i cut out (he tried to kill me so i took his eye and treasure lol), and i had 3 small rocks, i dont knwo why i picked them up i just did. well my little quirks came in handy. MY DM says about the dragons eye "im just gonan pretend u dont have that" and he chuckles its kind of liek a joke that i pick up funny things but the rocks came in hady once weird huh...

i had all ym weapons taken form me, and well they decided that pebbles werent weapons so they didnt take them from me, well 3 small pebbles can do a lot of damage the first round of combat for a rogue, i knoced some guy out and got my stuff back, sucker, my DM was actually kind of happy he told me i was resoursefull and he loves how i role play my rogue, i get in so much trouble lol, he has fun with it. i love being invisible and playing knife games in taverns

Im liek the only person in our group who our DM trusts with his own character the otehr people lose them or try to cheat, cept one otehr person but he just doesnt want to hold on to it, but so i tinhk about ym character a lot, liek becasue i play him liek how i think its fun, and i make items and stuff, we eat while we play lie ne one is it weird that when ever i get my character sheet dirty i have to liek write it out again, i dont change anything i just dont liek dirty paper...

YES.

Example: Captain Rehab. This guy always eemed to play alchoholics until about half a year ago. It seemed he thought being drunk, having a bad past, and being chaotic nuetral gave his character a reason to outright bully other characters.

The same guy with the "all 16+ sheet" I mentioned earlier sets traps every time he sleeps. He also wastes plenty of time pulling pranks on other characters and thinks about that more than anything else. O_O I wouldn't mind if he didn't waste quite so much time lighting Captain Rehab's pants on fire. Also he goes to great lengths to haul every piece of crap equipment (right down to "these colored pebbles something stupid might trade for") into town.
"The longsword is rusted and pitted."
"Well I'm sure SOMEBODY can use it....."

"Da Grand Wazizzle Elf Dat Would Be Da Pimp!"
Alot like Rehab, only DGWEDWBDA prefers certain... Smoked substances. He's also known as a womanizer.
Then again, I don't find him annoying.... More like funny.

My caracters: I've often had complaints that my DMPCs seem to
often have a ":censored: YOU!" attitude towards the rest of the party, and gotten cussed out because characters have done things that didn't necesarily help the party much because that's what the character would do.

Alot of My players have wierd tendancies, I have a friend who always plays as a priest of some sort, usually a female preist, just so he can "Dispatch the Sinners", another of my players plays racist/sexist characters, to the extreme, he wont even give a potion to the elf wizard since elves are "Pompous Fairies", he feels that any Npc not giving him free stuff is a enemy, he once killed three children and a shop keeper because they wouldnt pay 15,000 gold for his flametounge, since they didnt have that kind of money, his party lost one character, and much later in the campaign, after he hit lvl 30+ he spent all the party resources on a war against the town because they had wrong him, and he insists his characters are chaotic good.:nonono:

#4. never listens to descriptions of monster he always says "i cant imagine it I need to see the picture in the book"

#5. only plays savage type chars, and does stupid stuff like kill a farms cow and eats it right in front of him and other annoying stuff

#6. Thinks hes such a ladies man that even with his chr of 9 (he uses it as a dump stat since hes fighters and such) and when i tell him he offends them and they walk away when he rolls a 1 and actually gets mad, tells me that he had more girl friends then i ever had and hes a bigdog pimp and gets all the ladies (which aint true by the way)

#7. yes theres more, one guy always try to be anime chars, this aint bad once in while but im sick of all the catgirls, samurai, huge weapon wielding chars

Dungeon_Master's statement was and I quote:

Yep. Rock and metal (specifically gothic rock) can fit the mood perfectly if you plan your music out.

Rap NEVER fits the mood

In the above statement it is obvious that he is not referring to his table alone by usage of the word NEVER and the lack of the three words: at my table.

The definition of NEVER:

Main Entry: nev·er
Pronunciation: 'ne-v&r
Function: adverb
Etymology: Middle English, from Old English n[AE]fre, from ne not + [AE]fre ever -- more at NO
1 : not ever : at no time <I never met her>
2 : not in any degree : not under any condition <never the wiser for his experience>

Had this statement only been meant to define his own table then it would have been worded as follows:

Rap NEVER sets the mood at my table.

Also, the lengthy debate over why various posters believe rap(Along with the one making the statement in question.) is not appropriate at the gaming table would never have existed within this thread.

CONCLUSION: Your statement concerning rap, which I have quoted above, is not fact.

Allright with the music, heres my opinion, Playing music during a game can be a good mood setting, but if you and your group cant agree, its just going to cause more problems than its worth, if someone hates rap, and other cant stand rock, its pointless to keep playing music when its going to make players aggitated, the point of DnD is to have fun, and if people spend time argueing over what sounds good, then they wont be having fun. Personally at my table we play songs form video games, or we download remixes of video game songs, if it gets to distracting we turn it off, simple. some people hate rap, others love the stuff, it still doesnt change the fact that "fitty cent" and "slim shady" suck, Public enemy is real rap, try that stuff out

Certain conventions exist in the English language. When I say "I am 24," I mean "It has been between 24 and 25 years since the day I exited my mother's womb." I don't mean "I am 24 weeks pregnant" or "I am 24 microns tall." Dungeon_Master's statement falls in the bounds of ambiguity. He may have been making a universal statement, he may have been referring to his own experience.

I played (once) with a different group of people then normal and made the mistake of touching someone else's die. Turns out he is a practicing Wiccan in real life and I tainted his die that he had spent some time earlier purifying that day. He complained to me about bad die rolls the rest of the night. In that same group was the type that only liked to fight and decided to kill some members of the party that night me included. Luckily it provided me an easy out. That and the DM was the uber lax kind that would allow divine intervention for no reason and made insane rolls behind his screen that could NEVER have been made in a row in a sane world.

Never played with them since, should have know better then to try to hang out with my sisters friends. LOL

Your position is faulty. Observe the definition of ambiguous as quoted below and directly afterwards I shall school you.

Main Entry: am·big·u·ous
Pronunciation: am-'bi-gy&-w&s
Function: adjective
Etymology: Latin ambiguus, from ambigere to be undecided, from ambi- + agere to drive -- more at AGENT
1 a : doubtful or uncertain especially from obscurity or indistinctness <eyes of an ambiguous color> b : INEXPLICABLE
2 : capable of being understood in two or more possible senses or ways

There is nothing ambiguous about the way the word never was used, or the fact that the words "at my table" exist nowhere within the original statement in question(Only after his faulty position had been checked did the poster alter his position.). The poster in question made the statement about rap never fitting the mood thinking that such a falsehood would go uncontested. He found out otherwise.

Also there would have been no reason for this statement later on:

Once again, what sets the mood of the game and fits the game and it's genre better? Celtic music, or Nelly trying to talk women into taking their clothes off?

As noted above ambiguity refers to uncertainty. Numerous factors prevent the original statement from being ambiguous:

1. The usage of the word "never" and lack of the words "at my table" within the statement in question.

2. The fact that MSD said the exact same thing which I have said and was met with a debate.

3. The poster attempts to push his limited views on myself with the above statement about "Nelly trying to talk women into taking their clothes off".

Your faulty position has been destroyed. I will continue this debate when factual refutation has been posted and not before. With the pitiful previous posts I have viewed odds are this(Factual refutation) will never happen.

Ok...I'll try and steer this back on it's tracks before it becomes any more of a **ssing contest ;) .
Remember gentlemen, we have ladies present at the table !

Player 1 and 2 common quirks:

Quirk 1- Jet-Li-in-The- One, syndrome:

Think having played tabletops for nearly a decade automatically makes 'em the Gosh-darndest-and-grandest Role-Players there is, yet, all their characters, of any alignements or backgrounds, always bear the same manierisms, the same ticts, the same tone of voice, the same annoying "I'm above all of you" condescendance in their attitudes.

Quirk 2- Unaware newbie basher.

Quickly point out Roleplaying faults in the newbie(s) at the table: "His Fallen Angel should have been more impressed when I summoned my Psionic Blade instead of acting all superior!"
(Dramatization) : "I'm a Sunite Paladin, of course I can get away with pinching her buttocks in front of her oak-sized father!"

Quirk 3- Eerie Déjà vu! character concepts:
urban ranger, duel hand crossbow wielding half-drow, fallen paladin turned blackguard, or a gnome-tinkerer sporting a mech-like automaton, who straps multiple magic missiles wands on his wrists like machineguns.

Player/DM 2 quirk:

Quirk 1- Stereotyped Manicheism or "It's Evvvviiiiilll !"

DM: "You see before you an Evil looking keep."

DM: "You step into the Evil feeling swamp."

DM: "He smites you because you're Evil.
Me: "When did he grab his holy symbol during our conversation?"
DM: "..."
Me: "..."
DM: "He's a pally, he knows."
Me: ":banghead:"

Me: "What makes this place so evil ?"
DM: "Erm...it looks threatening."
Me: "It's a wine cellar... Anything you wanna confess while we're on the subject of alcohol ?"

They're my friends, so I've already confronted 'em about this, but things remain unchanged...through all this, I personally wouldn't trade 'em for anyone else ! :D

Wow. And I was just sitting there dropping the topic...

As I said, I have played D20 Modern games where rap has worked quite well for the soundtrack.

I also said that I have not yet played a D&D game where todays rap has been able to set the mood.

I'm a bit confused as to what you're trying to do here, though... Attack me because I don't like rap, or continue arguing until I learn to spell things out completely and literally in the future, remembering also to have fine print at the bottom of my posts.

I'm sorry, my freind, but you're bringing a dead subject back up, also called trolling. Want to discuss why rap would fit a D&D game? Fine. Do it with E-mail. I'm sure my address is in my profile.

I feel like I'm having flashbacks from someone else's traumatized childhood, where he'd play with his toys, pretending he couldn't hear his parents yelling at eachother...

Anyways,

Quirk A:

A former player of mine used to split his game time with us and another group. Problem is, in his other group, he'd gotten used to special ...treatments: they onced invented a whole new set of rules to let one of his psion characters to run on walls AND use a full attack action to throw not 3, not 6, but 18 Daggers / rnd! His character constantly jumped from three to three, from building to building... yup they loved animé.
Let's just say no party of mine ever sported a leather clad freak constantly yelling at the top of his lungs, executing impossible feats of superhuman agility, while successfully aiming and throwing 18 weapons at 18 targets simultaneously in the small range of 200 ft...at lvl 8 Soulknife.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all up for cinematic action, but just when the other characters can also join in the fun.

Quirk B:

Ever noticed how conceptions vary from gaming group to gaming group ? 2 years ago, I had the bright idea to create a mixed gaming group: half were from Montreal, and half were from the suburbs. The geography ain't relevant, what is was the clash of egos that ensued. Character creation time over, we quickly started a short one-nighter campaign my DM had prepared on the spot. Approx. 30 mins after we had started, the tones of voices had considerably risen, almost to the point yelling. An hour after that, we broke up the session before we had our very own unsponsered fist fight in my pal's basement.

Know this, "debating" is not "attacking".

Although the following can be seen as "attacking" or sheer racism:

* Claiming that rap is crap(Although at the same time praising Eminem's music whom although he is white is still technically, a "rapper".).

* Claiming that the way one speaks harms his/her culture.

* Claiming that certain posters are mad because the man is keepin' ya down(Even when joking.).

* Claiming that Eminem is being real while others are only representing for the hood.

A subject which you intitiated. Due to the above statements(Refer to the first half of my post.) made within this thread a moderator should have picked up the subtle hints of racism and handled the thread appropriately. This did not happen, therefore I exposed your beliefs to be exactly what they were, beliefs.

I have no wish to discuss anything with you in particular(Nor have I ever had any wish to affiliate myself with those that have limited perspectives.). My purpose was to destroy your non- factual postion on what you believe is appropriate for gaming tables abroad, which I have done quite nicely.

Be mindful of your prejudices in the future.

Hmmm. I don't praise Eminem, nor do I think he's anymore real than the rest of the "hoods".

I just think a few of his songs do have some good meaning to them and I can tolerate him alot longer than the "gangsta" crowd.

Also, LordofIllusions, I am not racist in any way, so please don't accuse me to be. There are quite a few non-white musicians I do like. If you wish, I can name them. This whole time you seem to have been adopting a "holier than thou" attitude, and accusing me of racism appears, at least to me, VERY immature.

I will allow that there is good rap. Sadly, it's not what's mainstream right now. I can name several less known artists (or at least not commonly thought of when one says "rap") that I do like.

The Man IS keeping us ALL down, by the way. He's ruining music as we speak! We call it MTV. ;)

I play usually in High Fantasy games, so when people do dumb things, they get hurt badly, if not killed.

Dumb things include running around the town screaming "COMMUNISM IS COMING!"

I wouldn't mind anything that doesn't touch this Earth, in fact, even if he ran around screaming "HELLIONS ARE COMING!" then he wouldn't be as smited as he was.

Quirks are fine. But I can't stand playing with children. Now, I myself am a child, but the whining and *****ing people have described has got to reach the level of a child.

But then again, I like really simple solutions. I currently have three people wanting to play D&D banned from playing when I DM because they always do stupid things. (Again, not in the stupid way, but in a using out of character knowledge to do stupid things. Gods do have to make sure paradoxes did as quickly as possible.)

Ok, to understand this story you probably need to know one of my house rules: I don't tell players when their alignment shifts unles it affects their abilities...

Player A is a Loremaster/Necromancer with a Con of 7 (He had 3 18s, but guess he likes to min/max inefficiently). Started off LN. Has recently been using Animate Dead regularly and has joined a faction which aims to wipe out one of my world's cultures (a non-evil culture).

He has just finished torturing a captive to death in a really unpleasant manner (I mentally note he is now LE), without even bothering to ask any questions. He then goes to his camp and says to his Paladin Bodyguard.
"I'm a bit worried about there being enemies round here, could you detect evil?'
Paladin Bodyguard (scans tent): "Moderate source of evil detected, sir...oh, its you!"

(Paladin declares he's leaving Character A's service but will continue to guard him. Player A doesn't realise the new meaning the Paladin is putting on guard:smirk: )

Player A: "That Paladin must be biased, I want to be checked out by a Paladin who's never heard of me or my faction!"

ME::confused:

Player A: "Ok, then, I want to detect evil on all my followers."
Me: "Its a divine spell, I guess you ask your priest follower?"
(I tell him which of his followers are evil)
Player A: "And I also want to have detect evil cast on all the Paladins in the area!"
Me: "Ok...it'll take a few weeks mind."

(A few game weeks later)
"None of the Paladins showed up as Evil"
Player A: "Ah but Paladins can cast undetectable alignment!"

I have several quirks as a player myself, though I'm told my DMing habits are far worse... anyway, here are a few that I've found work surprisingly well;

1: I will create a character concept for weeks or even months before a campaign goes off, complete with level progressions, possible backgrounds, family trees, possible stat lineups et al. Then at the VERY LAST MINUTE, I invariably get some weird idea, throw the original out the window and play something completely different. I've gone from planning on a Lawful Good wizard with a penchant for flashy abjurations to being an ultra-stupid Lawful Neutral rogue with sinus problems and almost certainly manic-depressive to boot.

2: I always keep 3 character sheets of my characters handy; one for DM reference, one for when I have no equipment and one for me equipped. (I've never ever had to use no.2 on that list...)

3: I will doodle incessantly. Sometimes I will doodle a sketch of the BBEG as the DM describes him/her/it and sneak it into someone else's stuff to see if they recognize the picture without me having to tell them what it is. (This has led my DM to distrust me, since I sometimes chuck a sketch over his screen and he thinks I'm doing it so that I can peek. bleh.)

4: I will hunt down and commence violence on any fellow player who DARES to play a character with CHA 16 or higher and says he's "just that good-looking." Grr. :fight!:

5: Sexual double entendres, innuendoes and phallic symbolism runs rampant whereverand whenever I play, regardless of what character I'm playing (race, class or species). This is entirely unintentional, but occasionally very humorous. (I once frightened a defeated and captured BBEG into submission when he thought I was hitting on him... with me playing a male elven druid and him being a male half-orc barbarian. I didn't intend to do that, but the entire group thought this had been my plan from the start... :embarrass )

At the start of every game, regardless of what I'm actually likely to need, I tip out all my dice (about 30-ish) on the table and place them all carefully with the highest number face-up, to train them (yes, I know well this is flawed - I study physics). Then I take out the three or four dice I actually need for the character I'm playing, and ignore the rest of them until we're finished. It never seemed odd until I stopped to think about it...

Oh, and at least 2 d20s I know of have been shunned by our group for having bad luck.

One time the dungeon that I had prepped for hours on end had a locked stone door, and after one try to unlock it he declared that my dungeon was too hard. HE HADNT EVEN GOTTEN IN YET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOT A SINGLE COMBAT!!!! He only tried the door once, then quit the whole adventure in a rage. I opened the door for him, and he proceeded to cast all his negative energy spells on the undead he was fighting, without a single thought at the fact that he had countless spells such as fireball and even disrupt undead PREPARED RIGHT THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA I HATE THAT GUY!!!!!! Eventually he decided DND was too confusing and quit playing the entire game.

Ok, this one arrived this morning:D

Player C has been having some problems with a mildly matriarchal society of humans on the surface world.

His solution? Call in the Drow.

Mmm this is going to be fun:angel:
