I'm introducing a new BIG, BAD, EVIL guy into my camapign. (homebrew setting) He's going to be a great Paladin who fell in battle, and the PC's are going to get his sword, but they awaken him, and he's a skeleton and the meaning fell was acturally the MUHAHAHAH meaning, not the "Argh, I justith gotith shotith withith a arrowith" as was implied.

Long story short, what class should I make him? I was thinking Blackguard, but the party already knows what a Blackguard can do off by heart. (One of thems playing one in an evil game with a different DM) Anyone know of any other Death Knightish classes out there?

Why go with freaky PrCs? Barbarian, rogue, monk, ranger...all perfectly cool and useful classes.

An ex-paladin 5/fighter 4/rogue 7 is a pretty darn scary combat dude, especially with a bunch of undead mooks to provide flanks for his TWF magnificence.

Similarly, if he fell to the sin of wrath, levels of barbarian let him put down the hurtin'. Monk is just unusual and cool ("You've disarmed him...and he grins evilly"). For that matter, give him fighter levels and a bunch of whacked feats, or go exotic and give him swordsage/warblade levels.

Just MHO.

I want him to lead an army of undead and take over the world. (yeah, I'm drowning in cliche, but watcha gonna do?) I only have acsess to Complete Divine, Complete Warrior and all the Core. If anyone knows about any Home Brew that would help alot.
