09-10-06, 05:36 AM Okay, I know the whole "DM fiat" rule of changing things around, but disregarding that.. when a blackguard gets the fiendish servant ability at 5th level.. would it not be feasible for the blackguard to get a black unicorn?

Why not? If it's a BBEG then theres certainly a possibility that the blackguard found a corrupted unicorn and struck a deal with it to make it his fiendish servant. If it's a PC then it should take at least a little RP and maybe a feat to make it work. Honestly, an evil unicorn is a bit stronger than a fiendish horse.

09-10-06, 08:36 AM I'd allow it, maybe treat it as one level lower on the improvement chart, so a 13-15th level character gives the unicorn the bonus for the 12th or lower entry.
