Boots (Slippers) of Spider Climb [Archive] - Wizards Community

05-28-06, 01:57 AM I am running City of the Spider Queen for my group. One of the early dead drops from an enemy was "Boots of Spider Climb" I'm pretty sure they are supposed to be Slippers of Spider Climb, but anyway... The players think that they are active at will (ok) and unlimited use (?) AND they could use weapons and such while they were using them (?!?).

They seem to think the Boots are different than the Slippers, but I cannot find any direct reference to Boots of Spider Climb. Anyone know anything about this? Thanks.

05-28-06, 02:19 AM Your players probably remember the 3e slippers of spiderclimb, which didn't suck like the 3.5 ones do.

05-28-06, 02:25 AM I'm not aware of the differences between 3.0/3.5 slippers of spider climbing, but all I know is that the current slippers are at will non-action activation, work for only 100 rounds per day, and leave your hands free to cast spells, wield weapons, scratch your butt...whatever.

3.5 slippers work a total of 20 minutes a day and are hands free. They are also way overpriced.
