| debalkez08-10-06, 08:11 PM | It sounds good. After all, its only one against 9. I'm having a group of 5-7 4th level PCs/NPCs go up against a 9-headed hydra...it'll be fun to watch. |
| SPEAR908-12-06, 01:12 AM | Umberhulk would be a good alternate.Or maybe a destrachan, they use destructive harmonics. If the party is of good alignment,A Hag covey might be a good 'Boss' fight. They use ogres and giants as guards. It would make for good battles leading up to the final confrontation,or an oppurtunity to use their(the party) skills to sneak past.Hope this helps. :) :) |
| Aeromus08-12-06, 01:17 AM | Picking a creature that can one show half a party if not all of them is a bad idea. Why not use multiple enemies so they have to split. Have them attack seperately in waves. |
| Ralvuimego08-12-06, 02:54 AM | If you send the party against a Grey Render, It is very likely they will win if they are intelligent, but at least four of them will die, and those four people won't be very happy. For boss monsters with a group that size, It's best to send them in with a group of monsters at least half the size of your group, but have the boss monster the traditional level for a boss monster of a party of four, that way five of your party members face off against the minions, while the other four goe toe to toe with one monster that is meant to challenge a group that size of that level. |

Let them die, 9 players, ugh :P |
| gamertall08-12-06, 02:43 PM | A Grey Render makes a good Muscle for the bad guys. I believe that Grey Render mysteriously attach themselves to groups. That trait, for me anyway, does not make the Grey Render a good Boss monster. |
