I am a big fan of the Brackenwood animations by Adam Philips, they are a great fantasy series. I would suggest them to everyone.

Brackenwood would be an amazing world to get D&D players into so lets flesh it out alittle bit. I'd like to start by making Brackenwood Satyrs a playable race first. If any of you have ideas, please watch the animations and tell me.

What I'd like to do:
Stat Brackenwood Satyr: Done
Stat Brackenwood Bigfoot:
Stat the YuYu:
Stat Lemonee Wee (the witch):
Stat The Auld Sage (The bald bigfoot):
Stat Prowlies:

Brackenwood Satyr (Not opptomized, need opinions)
(Medium Explaner Fey) Speed: 250ft
Hit Dice: 5d6 + 10 (28HP) AC: 17 (touch 15, FF 12)
Intiative: +9 Base Attack/Grapple +2/+3
Attack: Headbutt +3 melee (1d6 +1)
Bite +3 melee (1d4 + 1)
Special Attacks: Headrush
Special Qualities: Dextrous acrobat, low light vision, speedy
Skills: Balence +16 Escape Artist +9 Hide +13 Jump + 18 Listen +12
Move Silently +12 Spot +10 Tumble +10

Abilities: Str 12, Dex 21, Con 14, Int 10, Wis 14, Cha 8

Feats: Run, Improved Initiative, Dodge, Mobility
Enviornment: Brackenwood Forest
Organization: Solitary
Alignment: CE
CR: 5

Brackenwood Satyrs are lightly built humanoids who appears as a rouphly 5.5ft human male with goat legs and horns with a face covered in hair, exposing only large pupiles white eyes. They are fiesty and solitary creatures who go out of their way to torment other beings for the fun of it. This can range from simple pranks to physical abuse. Brackenwood Satyrs speak no disernable language, but can learn other languages if you can teach them.

Combat:
To say a Brackenwood Satyr is fast is an understatment. The speediest of which can run on water. They will stay away and stalk their target until they think it ready to strike. they are masters of the hit and run tactic.

Headrush: A Brackenwood Satyr may make a bullrush attempt at +1/10ft of distance ran to get to the target + Str mod. If the attempt is successful the attack deals 1D6 +1/10ft moved and pushes the target back 5ft+1ft/10ft. If the attack fails the Satyr moves past the target at half of his initial move. Does not provoke an attack of opportunity.

Dextrous acrobat: Satyrs use their Dex mod in place of their str mod on skills.

Speedy: A satyr adds his dex mod X 10 to his base speed. If his base speed reachs 300ft he may run accross water an amount of feet = to the amount of feet he had a running start with.

I've always loved adam philips works and when i saw this thread, i was like "oh yes!"

I think it would be a great idea for a DnD Campaign setting, and have tried once or twice, but i've never been able to get it off the ground
