Those who are in the Hawser Archipelago, please do not read any further.

Those in my game should not be reading further...

The BBEG is a 12th level Dwarven Sorceror. A particular tactic of hers is to cast an Enlarged Spectral Hand, Fly, and then Gaseous Form. She has Still Spell, Silent Spell, Enlarge Spell, Empower Spell, Eschew Materials.

WHERE THE FIGHT WILL BE:
Her main chamber is a large room approx 200'+ square. The floor is a criss-crossing pattern of iron (grating) with about a 3' gap to an actual stone floor. There are iron pillars that are also the same make, floor to ceiling. I intend to have a porticullis in place to close them in.

Movement across the floor is slowed because of the grating-big enough holes for a foot to get stuck.

The purpose of the floor and pillars is so a gaseous form can move about and within, gaining the added AC from them.

Using touch spells via the Spectral Hand and Ranged Attack Spells the BBEG will strike-spells are cast without any V,S,M.

Do you see an argument about the Spectral Hand passing through the grates? A Gaseous Form has no problem, obviously.

What kind of AC bonus would be practical for the grating (floor or pillars)?

Which Mephit(s) would you use?
