I'm thinking about making bunny yes the one in alot of sigs into a god. You can help make bunny into a god.

The benefits about him as a god is plus 10 feet to movement.
Favored weapon: bite (I have a rabbit trust me).
Divine rank: 3
Alignment: cg or ng
Domains: Celerity, animal, luck and nature

Any ideas are are appreciated the same for feedback.
I'm sorry but I realy dont know much else what a god needs.

If you are going to create a god you have to think of its worshippers.. All gods needs worshippers! Are the rabbits worshipping "the bane of all alfalfa hay".. just toying with an idea.. Why don`t you create evil rabbit humanoids? I mean what human would worship the god of rabbits?`( except vegitarians maybe  )

So what your saying is you worship a bunny?

On topic: To make a worship-able Diety you need to make domains available to clerics who worship it. I think that's what your talking about in your first post? A Cleric of the Church of Bunny would probly have access to 2 of the follow domains; Animal, Nature, and you could make up a 3rd and or 4th domain that has those abilities list up top as the benefit.

And I know lots of people who would worship a Bunny, especially one in everyone's profiles!

Sorry...

So what alignment will the bunny god be? If you are basing it on the forum bunny who is trying to take over the world trough getting copied in sigs (not a very impressive plan) I guess it would be evil.. But if you are basing the god on the cute small creatures that eat carrots and alfalfa hay he is probably good.

So NE or NG.

The monks I play are all from the Order of the Rose Lagomorph. They venerate pink bunnies.

This whole thing started as a running gag, a reference to a time when my my wife's favorite character -a CE cleric of Loki- spent some time polymorphed into a small pink rabbit. However, the joke sort of took on a life of its own, and became a sort of tradition. I ended up developing a whole philosophy, a set of holiday observances, multiple combat styles (including one group which leveled as rogues, rather than monks), and a detailed history of the Order's great masters. One of my monks, a historian, drove the rest of his party nuts by constantly telling them about how every situation they came across reminded him of some story about one great master of his Order or another. Most of the historical masters -but not the ones I played- were drawn from comics and movies. It did all start out as a joke, after all, and it never completely lost the element of humor. I mean, come on; Wolverine retiring and joining a monastery? :D

Another of the monks I played was a CN ex-bard with a whip, a specialty in performing female roles (he was an onnagata), and a preference for speaking in double-entendres. I convinced the DM to let me do this on the basis that this particular monk was from very early in the Order's history, and although he would eventually come to be an honored master, he'd also cause the Order so many headaches that they would never again allow Chaotics; in essence he became the reason for the alignment restrictions. I don't think I've ever had that much fun with a character before or since.

Ahem. Anyway, I'm telling you this as something of a warning. Ever heard about how rabbits have a nasty habit of multiplying? Well, this is sort of the reverse: rabbit jokes have a nasty habit of taking on lives of their own. I can't get out of the Rose Lagomorph traditions. My wife's college friends -and now even some of her students who have heard the tale- still send her plush pink bunnies every year on April Fools' Day. So be careful with the bunny-god, OK?

Once you start down the cottontail path, you may never be able to hop off of it...

It's been a very, very long time since I read Watership Down, but seem to recall a Grey Rabbit or Great Rabbit figuring into rabbit religion. I wish I could recall more clearly. Nonetheless, it may be something to reference or check--I do recall that the rabbits had their own language, and you may be able to use elements of that for rituals or whatnot. I think everyone who's read the book remembers the infamous, "Silflay hraka, U embleer Hrair." (I wasn't sure I'd spelled that correctly, so I googled it--and was mildly surprised at the hits, tho' I shouldn't have been.)

At any rate, good luck!

Watership Down had Frith, the Sun God of the rabbits, and El-ahrairah the Prince with a Thousand Enemies who was basically the first rabbit ever created by Frith. There was also the Black Rabbit of Inle, who was basically Death/Grim Reaper of bunnies.

The rabbits had their own language called Lapine (http://www.langmaker.com/featured/lapine.htm) where you can translate "Silflay hraka, U embleer Hrair." :P

Don't forget the 'Vorpal' rabbit from Monty Python and the Grail. Doubtless those who disparage the great furry one will receive a visit. And with his ears he will hear you!

I had rabbits many years ago and the bite was definitely nasty - my Dad was bit once. Almost had rabbit stew that night.

Might consider giving the priests evasion. Rabbits survive not due to speed but on their quick changes in direction.

It makes no sense it translates to food above ground poo in scent of fox 1000?!?

It roughly translates to "Eat s**t, you stinking b*****d." It's the last thing one of the rabbits says to a villain before taking him out. As with any language, translation requires smoothing out the jagged edges of literal meaning: so, "silflay" means a "time/place to eat" but can be translated simply into the command verb "(You) eat," and hraka means "droppings," but we can all come up with a nastier word for that; "embleer Hrair" could be literally translated as "scent of the enemies" but "stinking b*****d" fits better and is closer to the obvious intent of the speaker.

Thank you, ChimericPhase, for the rabbit theology refresher. It's been way too long since I've read the book, I should probably pick up a copy and revisit it. Probably should rent the movie too--I remember it being quite good but not nearly as good as the book.

P.S.

A very long time ago, I thought about doing a Watership Down RPG. The main reason I scrapped the idea was that I realized my real reason for wanting to do it was the panicked look I knew I'd get when I told the players there were thousands of enemies charging--and the confused look if they got rid of one and asked how many were left. "Four." Still, might be worth a one-off if I could think of the best way to do it. :D

I wish someone would have told me that God was a bunny from the get go. It certainly would have influenced my sermon writing.

Summon Monster should be in the mix of Domain spells somehow with a specific application of Dire Rabbit as the particular summoned creature.

Edit: Oh and Lesser Greater Planar Ally could have some majorly beefed up celestial rabbits. Or you could make a very powerful guardinal type based on a rabbit. That could be fun to create.

Little Bunny Foo Foo,
Hopping through the forest
Scooping up the field mice
And boppin' 'em on the head

Down came the good fairy and she said

"Little Bunny Foo Foo,
I don't want to see you
Scooping up the field mice
And boppin' 'em on the head.
I'll give you three chances,
And if you don't behave
I'll turn you into a goon!"

Down came the good fairy and she said

Here ya go...
As there cant be a huge amount of worshippers for the new Bunnyzilla god, make it a cult and have them use a password phrase to enter meetings..."there's a dog loose in the wood."
You could have them be an underground movement, trying to overthrow a tyrannical overlord, referred to only as the General. Make him a cyclops.
Alright, just had to get that out of system, resume normal seriousness.... :D

Listen, my children.

‘Twas in the longlongago, ‘twas. Th' Hunams an’ Elfs didna life wi’ us, here in th’ deepdark. Onla us Dwarfs e’er went downbelowlow back then, an’ onla becoss we liked th’ shinies, which we’ud sell to Hunams an’ Elfs and what were th’ little half-halfs. I’da tell you th’ stories of how it was, but these stories aren’ for funnies like they was when m’gramppapa was what age you littlelittles are now. These stories are for truth and might safe your lifes if you ever get caught in the upup.

‘Cause there’s monsters in the upup. They don’ looks like no monsters, not like th’ Squidfaces or Drowsies we fights in th’ deepdark. The Book Of Learnin’ tells us “By their cuteness ye shall know them, by the skeee on the wind you shall hear them come, by the black of their cloak ye shall fear them.” You children memorize that Book of Learnin’, it will safe your lifes one day.

But know this: the Hunams and Elfs didna always life wi’ us. They fought the tiny pengins beak and feather for a thousand and a thousand years, and they thought they was winnin’. Know this, my children: confidence will kill you. You hear a skeee, you go an’ hide. You hear a skeee back and you go run and run and you don’ never look behind you.

No, Tomas, it don’ matter what you see. What you see’s what got the Elfs an’ Hunams nearly all kilt an’ their townies burnt crispy so they had to live in th’ downbelowlow here wi’us. Coz th’ pengins learnt a pow’ful magick that let them change their shape. They took a piece a’ wire, like this, an’ bent it, like that, an’ stuck two floppy felt ears to it like that, an’ snuck up on Hunams an’ Elfs who thought they were innocent li’l bunnies. What? What magick? Pengins don’ have hands, my children, so how do you think they put those bunny ears on their li’l heads? Yeah, that’s right, my children. You think about that. It don’ look like much to make a pair o’ ears what a bunny’s got, but you try poppin’ ‘em on your head wi’out a thumb, now.

An’ that was only th' way it was started, it was. The li'l pengins, they’d team up, an’ one pengin would wear a horse-head an’ another pengin wear a horse-hind, an’ they’d gallop up like they was just th’ normalest horsie in the upup. Or they’d kill an’ skin a cow an’ when th’ farmer come out in th’ earlies to milk ‘er, bam. ‘Twas uglies all over, li’l ones. An’ that’s why there’s no halfhalfs, they’re all dead. And no gnomefolks, neither. Jus’ a few Hunams, Elfs an’ Dwarfs lifin’ together in the deepdark, hopin’ no pengins come to look to finish th’ job they started in the longlongago. An’ that’s why we haves th’ trained dogs: a dog can smell what ones o’ us canna see wi’ our eyes.

Don’ think coz it looks like a llama it’s a llama: you gets a doggie to smells it and tells it, like the Book Of Learnin’ tells ya to.

An’ you hear a skeee, you hide. An’ two skees you run an’ don’ look back. An’ three skeeeses you just drops down and makes your peace with yer momma’s family gods.

Now gets to bed, my children. Gets ye to bed.

Actually Unarmed Strike might not be a bad favored weapon. But the dragon gods mostly have things like Longsword (talon) for favored weapons, to demonstrate that some followers may not have the appropriate anatomy, in which case they should use a different weapon.

In which case, i'd give the bunny-god favored weapon: Bite (greatclub) or something. Because my best friend in high school's rabbit kicked her cat nearly to death once, and i'd say that's closer to a club than anything else.

I would think agrarian cultures might worship this god. You could burn part of the annual wheat harvest in offering, and have ritual dances that involved a lot of hopping and heavy drums.

Bunny
Lesser God (Chaotic, Chaotic Good, or Chaotic Evil... I'm not sure)
Bunny, revered by whackjobs, is open-minded and prone to bouncing around the planes. He teaches his followers to disdain lucidity, occupy space that might otherwise be occupied by useful things or creatures, and to make sure that everyone alive owns their own colossal trampoline. If they cannot fit the trampoline where they live, Bunny will occasionally grant them a padded room instead. He appears as a fluffy, white bunny with humanoid facial features, or sometimes as a collection of ASCII characters.
Portfolio: Panic, travel, athletics, freedom
Domains: Animal, Celerity*, Chaos, Madness*
Favored Weapon: Any natural weapon
Cleric Training: Clerics of Bunny receive most of their training on the run. If they manage to learn everything they need to know whilst fleeing their teacher's many enemies, or just randomly running from one place to another, then they are accepted into the priesthood.
Quests: Anything that involves a great deal of running or jumping pleases Bunny. His followers can be found making faces at dragons and then practicing their running, running from especially frightening breezes, or killing Lara Croft and then performing hours of jumping puzzles in her stead.
Prayers: Bunny favors simpler, silent prayers. The most common one involves wiggling one's nose, jumping up and down a few times, and then finding oneself impaled upon someone's spear.
Temples: Most of Bunny's temples are long, underground tunnels with two or more openings or escape routes to the surface. These are tastefully decorated with mounds of pelletlike droppings.
Rites: Bunny's rites come in two varieties. One involves 5 to 10 followers trying to leap higher than one another on a colossal trampoline. This sometimes involves a few injuries. The other involves two to three followers repeatedly propelling themselves off of the walls, ceiling, and floor in a padded room. Curiously, this also often ends in injury. Both rituals are one hour long.
Herald and allies: A dire bunny (use the statistics for the dire badger) is Bunny's favorite choice for herald. Allies are, well... no one. Who cares about bunnies, anyway?
Relics: Slippers of Eternal Bounding, Shrubbery of Concealing Protection

Maybe I'll say that for the rabbitfolk race (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=582065) that I made up, the bunny god was the original god that they worshipped, before deciding to abandon it for foreign religions.

You had a small rabbit? I didn't know they even got that big. I thought that even the largest would be at most tiny.
