| KurenaiYami12-22-06, 04:11 AM | now i need a shor explain on each book-not includes setting and adventures Now I just need to decide what would be less effort: Writing what it says on the back of each book, or giving my own little summary. |

| KurenaiYami12-22-06, 04:45 AM | Arms and Equipment Guide - What it sounds like: A guide to armaments and equipment, as well as other nifty things, such as mounts and vehicles. Book of Exalted Deeds - The book of ultimate good. Contains feats, prestige classes, and many other things for the holiest of characters. Book of Vile Darkness - The book of ultimate evil. Contains feats, prestige classes, and many other things for the most dispicable villains. Cityscape - A wonderful help for any city-based adventures. Complete Arcane - Good for any Arcane caster. Complete Adventurer - Good for any skillful character. Complete Divine - Good for Divine casters. Complete Mage - Sequel to Complete Arcane, adding even more boons for Arcane casters. Complete Psionic - Highly denounced, but I still like it. Good (IMO) for psionic characters. Complete Warrior - Good for battle-oriented characters. Deities and Demigods - The book about Gods from multiple pantheons. Draconomicon - The book of Dragons. Enough said. Dragon Compendium - A compilation of nifty stuff from Dragon Magazine, including feats, classes, prestige classes, monsters, and new races. Dragonlance Campaign Setting - The setting from the Dragonlance novels. Not much to say outside of that. Dragon Magic - New races, spells, and prestige classes centering around Dragons. Dungeon Master's Guide - A core rulebook. Get it. Dungeon Master's Guide II - A boon to DMs young and old. It gives various tips on how to handle various situations. I found it useful. Eberron Campaign Setting - Allows you to play in Eberron. If you go homebrew, it has plenty of feats, classes, and races to incorporate into your own world. Epic Level Handbook - Useful after level 20. Expanded Psionics Handbook - Allows you to play Psionic races and classes, using the power of the mind to unleash awesome power. Fiendish Codex I: Hordes of the Abyss - Complete guide to Demons. Fiendish Codex II: Tyrants of the Nine Hells - Complete Guide to Devils. Fiend Folio - Basically another Monster Manual. Good for DMs, gives varieties of monsters. Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting - Allows you to play in Faerun. As with Eberron, plenty things to pick and choose. Frostburn - Environment book for playing in areas of freezing cold. Ghostwalk Campaign Option - Interesting campaign option that allows you to be a ghost, though not the typical kind. Heroes of Battle - Tips for campaigns based on War. Heroes of Horror - Tips for campaigns based on Horror. Creapy. Libris Mortis - The book of Undead. Lords of Madness - The book of Abberations. Magic of Incarnum - A different type of magical system. Harness the powers of souls to create magical items. Manual of the Planes - D&D Cosmology. Shows different planes and how existance on them works. Miniatures Handbook - Mostly D&D minis rules, but also has Classes, Prestige Classes, Feats, and Monsters. Monster Manual - Filled with Monsters. Monster Manual II - Filled with Monsters. Monster Manual III - Filled with Monsters. Monster Manual IV - Filled with Monsters. Oriental Adventures - Want to give your campaign an Asian kick? Here ya go! Planar Handbook - Similar to Manual of the Planes, but more character-based info. Player's Guide to Faerun - Main selling point: More prestige classes than you can shake a stick at. Player's Handbook - Core book. You NEED it. Player's Handbook II - Many tips on good roleplaying and expanding the breadth of your characters through classes and feats. Races of Destiny - Book centering around four races: Humans, Half-Elves, Half-Orcs, and Illumians. Races of Eberron - Book centering around the races of the Eberron campaign setting. Races of Stone - Book centering around Dwarves, Gnomes, and Goliaths. Races of the Dragon - Books centering around Kobolds, Dragonborn, Spellscales, and half-dragons. Races of the Wild - Book centering around Elves, Halflings, and Raptorans. Rokugan Campaign Setting - Information on the Jade Empire. Savage Species - Good for making monstrous characters. Sandstorm - Environmental book for deserts. Shining South - Info on the southern lands of Faerun. Spell Compendium - Spells. Lots and lots of spells. Stormwrack - Environmental book for the open sea. Tome of Battle: The Book of Nine Swords - New quasi-magic system for martial characters. Tome of Magic - Three new types of magic: Pact, Shadow, and Truename magic. Unapproachable East - Info on the eastern lands of Faerun. Underdark - Info on the Faerunian Underdark. Unearthed Arcana - Variants. Good for DMs who want to try some things differently. Weapons of Legacy - Weapons of great power. Allows your characters' weapons to advance with them. MY FINGERS!!! THEY BLEED!!! |

| KurenaiYami12-22-06, 05:18 AM | cool-i donknow what to choose:weep: Well, if you're new, I recommend the Core rulebooks first. If you have those, get Player's Handbook II and Dungeon Master's Guide II. After that, get the Complete series and the Races series. Try to avoid things that bring completely new systems (like Magic of Incarnum, Tome of Magic, Tome of Battle) until you are a bit more experienced. |
