This is a call for volunteers to judge a new Drunk DM competition. Looking for people with previous judging experience, however I will probably allow one person who hasn't judged before if they would like to volunteer. If interested Reply here and mention which contests on these forums you've judged before in your post or PM me.

I'm not here to volunteer, I just wanted to say the line in your sig about Vecna is too funny.

Well just to let you know, I'm going to probably give it two days on the forum and choose judges from all who apply, those lucky bastards will get a pm from me that says they got chosen and a list of topics to choose between for the competition. I am looking for four judges (myself included) so if only one other person gets involved, well you do the math.

I'd like to volunteer, but I never judged before...

I'm the head judge of the CowCon contests, conveniently. I've judged contests on other forums, been a WoW GM (don't hate me), etc.

I've read almost all the Drunk DM Contests... I love them. :dancin:

Cowczar would you judge an entry on psionics objectively looking at the rules use for proper rules use and not based on your personal dislike of psionics rules (granted that the contestant would already take a hit to his merry fit score)

lord of tea and linus would you please tell me why you think you would make a good judge for this contest since neither of you have judged before, or more importantly are either of you willing to bribe me to get the right to judge:$$: I am easily bribed.

I will make a good judge because I am honest and not biased towards anyone or thing. Objectivity comes natural to me in life and on the interweb, I have an imagination and I love D&D. The things people come up with on these boards never ceases to amaze me and I would love the opportunity to show my appreciation to peoples hard work.

As for bribing, I wouldn't dream of trying it.

Really? cause its so easy, just a few minis or an anonymous amount slipped into a paypal account informed to me by pm... oh well. I don't get why I'm always stuck judging honest people when I'm oh so corruptable, like humans in 4E

Hi,
If you still havent chosen the judges yet i would like to volunteer. I havent judged before but i have entered into the Create a town DM competition and have lots of exp with D&D and other roleplays and i also like to read through all the competitions on the boards as i find them an interesting read. I am objective but also able to think outside the box and i think i would make a great judge. Did i mention what a lovely tunic you are wearing? :D

hmm well so far I have 6 volunteers, three former judges and three non-experienced judges, please understand that if you aren't selected that it is not a reflection on my personal oppinion of you, but rather an arbitrary pick based on looking at previous comments and posts on other forums. And there is still time to cast your ballot to judge, although I probably will have my judges picked before the weekend is up.

It looks like you may have your fill of inexperienced judges, so I won't volunteer, but I wanted to say I can't wait to enter. :)

Don't give up hope jack, you've actually participated in a contest which does give you an edge over other innexperienced judges.

Actually, given a choice I would rather enter. But if you feel you will need someone with entery (but not judging) experience, I could do it.
Mostly I just want to see a new DDMC.

Well if I judge or if I enter I better get ready.

Posteriors ascending!

I would look at any entry objectively. My dislike of psionics only takes precedence when I set the groundrules. Psionics, no problem.

Now I know that I shouldn't post if Im' not looking to volunteer, but are there any entry rules for the DDMC I should know about, I'm very new here.

The new DDMC will be put up sometime next week, judges who I chose are going to be PMed today, the rules will be very similar in nature to the MDMCs with mostly subtle flavor variations.

To those of you not selected for judging so sorry :weep: I'm not going to lie and say I'm torn up, but I thank you for offering and there will be openings with DDMC 13 because I probably wont use the same judges for two contests in a row unless I have too.

Lucky #13, eh? I've gotta enter this one.
