03-10-07, 12:03 PM Hey hears the deal i'm writting a campagin and i'm basicly have a big city and a dragon that must be slain but i don't know what age to make the drgaon it is a red dragon and it is for 4 lvl 5's plaese could you select one from the table.

There is a CR for each age. Use it.

Thats a better question to ask.

4 level 5 characters should beable to beat a CR 5 creature. It depends on how much of a fight you want for them. My players are smart with character design and game play. I throw things 2-3 above their CR alot. A few might die every now and then but they like the morbid feel of the game.

Also a first level caster dragon gets the same spells that a 1st level sorc would get. you have to choice them for the dragon.

Sleep deprivation. Works wonders for sounding like a loon.

I would use a wyrmling for a decent battle, very young for a real tough one, a boss battle. Have good loot from that.
