| Baned02-23-04, 11:24 PM | I've been DMing a campaign based loosely on Final Fantasy I for about a year now, but there's a problem. We haven't played since this past summer due to all the players and myself getting girlfriends (and one player is engaged). We stopped prior to the characters entering the Earth Cave/Terra Cavern (depending if you played the NES or PSone version of FFI). If you have played FFI, then you know that if you're unprepared, the Fiends can be a rather pain. Well I've designed a nice little pumped up Lich. A Fiendish Half-Earth Elemental Drow Lich with 10 levels fo wizardry. It all fits the game's enemy except for the Drow part. In the campaign, Astos survived and this is him, with powers granted by Chaos. After level adjustments, this is effectively a Lv. 23 foe going against a party of three Lv. 9 characters. Am I an evil DM for setting up a nearly instant TPK in this situation? :b: |

No. Evil DM Rule #666 Never Kill what you can maim and/or hurt for a long time period (decades and centuries work best).
