| dinodude8888888811-29-03, 04:19 PM | I've been playing for a short while and DMed a bit while our main DM was away. Anyway, in his game our characters seem to jump from campaign to campaign. For example, we would be walking out of the tower of corrupted mages, get healed, sell any junk we didn't need, and then have some random person come off the street and ask us to help clear out the sewer of wererats. Is this normal or is there usually some sort of "transition time" between big adventures, like a mini-mission or something? |

Most campaigns are made by putting many small quests toghether, conecting with each other (perhaps that man from the street was a corrupted mage in disguise; trying to lead the heroes into a trap), before making a final confrontation with this ultimate badass or whatever. This is pretty standard and linaer. But, there's really no "right way" of playing. |
