| msavoy02-16-04, 06:09 PM | Now I usually don't run published adventures and such, but I'm going to be using the Adventure Path from Dungeon as the backbone of my new campaign, and I was wondering how you guys prepare for this. From what I'm thinking right now, I'm compling a list of all the cities (and their stats), locations and my own "free-roaming" people. I've gotten a few adventures that I might think the players will like as breaks from the Adventure Path, but this is all ending up as a large amount of information to have. I was thinking a notebook with tabs so I can go through it quickly... a section for maps, cities, locations, encounter ideas (outside of adventures) and then another section for each adventure with a quick, rough outline of how it goes. Any suggestions would be great. |

Ruins, and exchanged it with the module Three days to kill , but that's another story. For my info, I have a binder with tabs. This worked out really good for me. Tabs are: Handouts, PCs, NPCs, Maps, Special Monsters, Story, etc... However, inside the module itself, I started using little "post-its". Small yellow notes which you can stick on the paper, without ruining the pages of the module. There I note poison stats, reference pages, prices, etc... You'll have to found out what works best for you yourself. Good luck, and hopefully you got a few good hints here.... |
