I figured this could be a topic where you can post which pre-made adventures are best to get 'noobs' use to Dungeons and Dragons.

Here's my predicament. I've loved D&D since i was young and i have been playing it vis Fantasy Grounds for the past year. Well, i'm wanting to start a new gaming group cause some of my RL friends and actually interested in D&D. I was making my own campaign and i was planning it and going all out. I'm making this elaborate plot with an epic end when all of a sudden it hit me, these guys have never played D&D. It would really suck to make this epic campaign and then have to dumb it down until they get the hang of it. So, i figured that i should run them through a fairly quick adventure that gets them use to how things go and then i could run my homebrew. Any suggestions? Thanks ahead of time.

Try one of these:

http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/oa/20000801a

They're pretty basic, and you can teach the PCs as they play them. The Burning Plague could be a bit too tough for starting players, though.

Id strongly recommend playing in an official d&d world, if you actually take the time to read the world it will pratically right adventures for you.
Also-it makes many adventures easy to feature, and your pcs can get into the novels etc which might inspire them.

if your big readers-it doesnt take much time, using one hour a night i read over 30 d&d supplements over the last month and half.
