Okay, I had an entire story written out to explain what happened, but as the computer decided to close the window midway, I'll just cut to the chase:

Recently, in my group, a Soulknife by the name of Alesandar was attacked by a Deinonychus lycanthrope, contracting the illness. After the session, he asked me whether or not he could still use his mind blade while in hybrid and animal form. I assume that he can while in hybrid, but I'm not so sure about the full-animal form. Anybody care to answer this for me?

I'm more just wondering because I don't know whether the Soulknife's proficiency with his blade overides the Deinonychus' 'Proficient only with Natural Weapons'.

nah...

likewise, they still retain their skills, feats, and other class abilities.

now in saying that, since he/she is inflicted and not natural, I would be in the habit of their being an NPC while in a forced shapechange and just tell them their condition when they revive.

while in a controled shapeshift, they retain all previous abilities
