One player became a eagle by using the 3.0 reincarnate, and another player wants to make her become his familiar, so the she (the eagle) gets the benefits, and the wizard gets a very strong familiar (and by the way, the eagle is a Sorcerer)

Is this posible by the rules? I believe no, but if I let them how would you handle it?.

we are using 3.0 ;) thanxs

No, a Wizard can only choose the type of familiar he gets, not the specific animal.

If the other sorcerer doesn't mind being as weak as an eagle without being able to cast most of their spells (they don't have fingers and can't speak any language besides Auran I would think), then if the sorc/eagle agrees to be the familiar, then I would suppose it's possible, however odd.

How would I handle it?

Like you did before the sorc was an eagle, he/she has to take care of themselves, it's not your job. If the eagle dies, then the wizard also takes a beating.

well by the 3.0 reincarnate the eagle is a Magical Beast, and can talk.

We agreed a way to let her cast spell with somatic components by using her wings (chose to let her, because if not, it would mean the sorcerer's dead) and she is a good player.

She can use her wings for this spells, when she is not flying, or if she choose to fall and concetrate while she casts...

The wizard (her boyfriend) IS a munchkin.

Surrogate Spellcasting from Savage Species.

Also, I would say yes, as long as they realize that being a Eagle would severly dampen your effectiveness, save for those spells where Echew Materials are allowed.

I have often thought of being an Imp and Familiar for another player, but my DM goes...:smirk: :nonono: :nonono: :OMG! :looloo: :headexplo :tantrum:

There's a DM Wrath that makes the recipient someone else's Familiar. It doesn't replace the already existing Familiar, and it doesn't have any effect other than to make the offender a party member's familiar, but it's still kind of amusing.

More DM Wraths can be found here, on the Big List of DM Wraths:
