Well my discriptions are okay, but i usually dont use them, 'cause half my PC's always are trying to do things as fast as possible, while the other half try to reach everything first so that i can give a proper discriptions. One of the fast people can't play for he is busy on friday's and saterdays now but there is still one constant 'whack first, whack second, whack some'ore then walk away and run back to ask questions'.

What would you do as a DM?

Doesn't this belong in the "Whats a DM to do" post? Any way I would just let him do that and give the more indepth descripition to the players that want it.

As I was saying you should probably let the annoying "power smashes" play there way and watch what happens, for the other "real" players who want to act out the adventure not just "'whack first, whack second, whack some'ore then walk away and run back to ask questions" you should give them the descriptions that they want and when the people that aren’t paying attention (The not paying attention only should apply to the people who are "smashing" things not people who are for example talking on the phone) ask for the description give them one like "You are in a (Insert terrain here) good luck" if they complain you can tell them that you already have given them the full description but as they were not listening they don’t know as much and have to ask the other players.

Hope this was helpful.

Lots of traps and surprises!
If the fighter is always in a hurry to kick the door down so he can rush in the room, put traps on the door.
If the rogue is always in a hurry to run into the room and look for treasure, mention the monster in the room *last*!
If the wizard is always in a hurry to cast his spell, don't let him "rewind": "Oh, I didn't really mean that." "Sorry; you said it, it's done. Mark that spell off until you rest again."
If people interrupt you mid-sentence to tell you what their characters are doing, let them suffer the consequences. "Well, you didn't let me finish the room description, so you don't know about the trip-wire that triggers the collapsing roof ..."
If people start rolling dice before you finish talking, declare those dice rolls invalid. "I don't care if you rolled a natural 20. Wait for me to finish! You guys are being rude."
