In my universe I wanted to make a good version of the litch, more for kicks than anything. what i finaly made up was the treant. rather than it being a beast ; that it was a druid who devoted thier life to nature and eventualy became nature in a true form. what do you guys think of the idea?

I like it, and I do not recall ever reading a different explaination of how treants came into existence to contridict it.

Personally, it's always niffed me that druids still die when they reach their maximum age; you just can't have that picture of the endless sage of nature that has been in this forest since ever time could recall, despite immortal liches running rampart throughout old ruins.

There are a couple of templates you can use to assist this (rather interesting) cause.
-The first would be the "Good Lich" template. Found in Monsters of Faerun. Just in case you do actually want a good lich.
-The second would be the Woodling template. Found in the Monster Manual III. This template is, in fact, compared to treants in the text.

You know, just in case you were, in fact, still looking for a template. :D
