| Deamoclese01-30-07, 03:35 AM | Simple question - can a flat footed player / npc use an attack of opportunity if they are flat footed? I.e. the party stumbles upon a lone orc in an alley. The orc wins initiative over all the players (thus, players are flat footed). The orc decides to flee and runs past the players (he runs past at least 1 or more threatened squares of the players). Can the players take an AoO even though they're flat footed? I've scoured my phb and Dmg and can't find anything about this. |

I only recently got back into the game about 6-7 months ago after a 5-year hiatus. Enjoy! bah give him the answer if your gonna be that precise about it :P.Just having a bit of fun! I think it's better for people to read things for themselves, though. That way they can say for sure it's in the rules and it's not just something somebody told them. I forgot that Combat Reflexes lets you make AoO while flat-footed. Good to know. I have a player who relies on that feat to survive ... |
| Deamoclese01-30-07, 03:47 AM | Edit: bah double post |
| SevSaint01-30-07, 08:33 AM | can you use a bow for a aoo. can you use a whip for a aoo, and then trip them at same time? |
| Neutronium_Dragon01-30-07, 08:38 AM | No, because you don't threaten with those. |
