Help. I can no longer distinguish between my real life and the fantasy life of D&D. When I am at work, I slip into character and see monsters all around me. People tell me I have changed. Instead of going to church, I stay home and worship Pelor (I hope to build my own temple out of pine). My best friend insists he is not a dwarf, but I know he is. My beautiful elven wife wants me to leave the homestead, but then our little half elves would have no father to look up to. I should have heeded those pamphlets! I should have heeded their words.

Either you're trolling, or you've lost your damned mind. In the former case, please go back to your cave and regenerate in solitude. In the latter case, seek psychiatric help.

Either way, you don't belong here.

Pelor's a Good Guy(tm), in any case. So long as you don't multiclass into Wizard and start murdering family members and innocent kittens or something, it's all good.

Or I was just making a joke about anti-gaming pamphlets.

Bad idea. That road inevitably leads to discussions of Jack C... no, that's too obvious, let's call him... J. Chick.</skinner>

Discussing that fellow gets threads locked. This was doomed before it started.

Funny nod to anti-gaming pamphlets and such, but unfortunately, it'll probably be against the CoC in some way or another.

I'm just glad you didn't really lose your mind. (But then again, if you did, how did you type on the computer? Is it your +5 Mystic Box of Word Processing and Pretty Pictures?:))

You've given me a great idea, Shaggy. Let's jam a bunch of Simpsons references into the thread before it closes so that we can do something with it before it is trashed.

:)

...

Uh-oh. I can't think of any good ones at the moment.:(

Someone tried to give me one of those pamphlets about the evils of RPG's while I was at VA Beach.

There is no cure for gaming. Just take your meds and try to cope lol.

whats the big deal? Why should wizards care? I hope they are not affraid will believe those people. Its useful for a laugh, and important to the history of the game. That pamphlet should be on the wizards D&D site.

Dude! I just thought of the most awesome gaming product ever!

We can make life-size effigys of Jack Chick and that Florida Lawyer guy, and then we can sell them for 10.00 each so gamers can burn them in effigy and/or beat the living crap out of them!

Anyway, didn't Lovecraft write something like this?

Those pamphlets, those horrible pamphlets within the walls!

A :cookie: For whoever gets the reference!

The bolded words are your fantasy life, the rest is reality. There, hope that clears things up ;)
