runes2 06-15-04, 02:57 PM	i've got a copy of both the DMG and PH for 3.5 (found them cheap at a second hand book store) now, i can't seem to find epxerience for creatures. I'm not really sure how much to give out for a group of 6 goblins or a werebeast or something. I could just make it up on my own, but i figure 30 years of play testing has got a nice balanced number. where in the ph/dmg is it? im probably just skimming over it and missing something.
Nifft 06-15-04, 03:09 PM	3.5e DMG page 38 -- each critter has a CR, and you look up the CR / average party level on that chart, and it'll tell you the XP value of the encounter. -- N
Lord Crimson 06-15-04, 04:04 PM	And the Monster Manual list the CR for most creatures. So if you don't have that, you may not have the proper CRs (unless you're creating your own monsters... but the MM gives you a lot of systems to help you scale that properly, too). Of course, you can always just download the 3.5 SRD... that has monster stats in it.
