Castle Ravenloft 1-shot advice [Archive] - Wizards Community

03-31-08, 05:11 PM I will be using Expeditions to Castle Ravenloft for a 2 session event. I am wondering how much of the non-castle content to use. I dont want to run out of time, or end too early and have skipped really cool scenes. Any advice is appreciated.

04-01-08, 12:33 AM Best advice i can give you, without sounding like a ******* is, take the three sessions.

It takes that long to run it. Seriously.

Skipping it will drastically reduce the flavor.

Kind of like trying to read all of Frank Herbert's Dune, or Tolkien's Lord of the Rings, in one day.

04-01-08, 01:44 PM Thanks. 3 sessions is not a luxury I have, unfortunately. I do thankfully have a lot of time for the 2 days. I'll just have to be strict about skewing, and wasting time. If I have 6+ hours each day (12+ total), how much non-castle material could I fit in.
