CC2 Question [Archive] - Wizards Community

05-30-04, 06:50 PM Is there an easy way to take the icons from Campaign Cartographer 2 and make them viewable as something that Photoshop will see? Specifically, I'm trying to get a few of the building icons from the City Designer add on. If it's important for description, my CC2 directory is C:\Program Files\CC2.

05-31-04, 02:46 AM Well i don't use photoshop that often but I know it has some kind of screen capture function. Just look in the help for "screen capture". This will allow you to grab the image as part of the screen and save a .jpg, .gif, or whatever your heart desires :) . Sorry I can't give specifics since I use Paint Shop Pro for all my imaging but I think that will help.

05-31-04, 06:33 AM I think a screen capture will indeed help you out (just press the print screen button - or alt + print screen if you only want the active window captured) and then go to whatever program you use (even paint will do) and use edit > paste (or ctrl + v) and you'll get your screen capture pasted in there..
Of course you'll have to erase a lot of stuff but it's quite easy..

Plop your symbols onto a completely blank, empty map. From the file menu select "Save As". In the dialogue box that comes up change the drop-down selection from the default .FCW to whatever you want - .bmp, .gif, .png, etc. Load that into photoshop.

06-02-04, 12:19 AM Go to File>Save As>, then under “Save as type”, select one of the following: BMP, JPG, or PNG. Photoshop should be able to read any of those.
